Rites set for Leon M: Goldstein A funeral is scheduled Friday in Hartford for Leon M. Goldstein, 79, a longtime businessman in Connecticut. Goldstein died Monday at Uni' versity Hospital in Tamarac, Fla. He lived in Tamarac. The service is scheduled at 11 a.m. at Congregation Ados Israel Cemetery, Zlon Hill, Hartford. Goldstein joined his father, Jacob Goldstein, in the family businesses of Bacon Bottling Co. and the Holland Dry Co., both beverage companies in Hartford, and became a partner in 1938. He also was a partner in the Mother Goldstein Wine Co. in Hartford, in which the wine was named after his mother, the late Ida Goldstein. After his retirement, Leon Goldstein owned the Railroad Package Store in the Willimantic section of Windham.
