GOLDSTEIN. Leon M. Goldstein, 79, of Tamarac, Fla., formerly of West Hartford, died April 17 at University Hospital, Tamarac, Fla. Mr. Goldstein was born in Hartford, son of the late Ida and Jacob Goldstein, and lived in Hartford until his retirement 15 years ago, when he moved to Florida. He was a graduate of Weaver High School, and New York University. He joined his father in the family business, Bacon Bottling Co., and the Holland Dry Co., and in 1938 he became a partner. He also was a partner in the Mother Goldstein Wine Co., in which the . wine was named after his mother. After his retirement, he owned the Railroad Package Store, Willimantic. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Snowman) Goldstein; two sons, Samuel and his wife, Dara, Goldstein of West Hartford, Gerald, and his wife, Oti, Goldstein of Bolinas, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Reesa, and her husband, Dr. Edward Cohen of Framingham, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Jodi and Seth Cohen, Ami and Lia Goldstein; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Goldstein was a member of the Civitan Club, Willimantic, Level Lodge No. 137 AF&AM, and a former member of Beth El Temple, West Hartford. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Congregation Ados Israel Cemetery, Zion Hill, Hartford. Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Hartford Heart Association. The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of Samuel and Dara Goldstein, 62 Wolcott Road, West Hartford, through Sunday. Weinstein Mortuary has charge of arrangements. '
