15, 1993, at the Griffin Hospital, Derby, fol- i lowing a long illness. He was the husband of Huixin Hu. Mr. Ren was born Sept. 22, 1955 in Shang- hai, China, son of Yingi Ren and Haolin Xiao.

He was a Seymour resident for several years, formerly residing at Storrs while stu dent at the University of Connecticut. He was a linguist and opera singer. Besides his wife, he leaves family in China. A Funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 30, 12 noon, in the Ralph E.

Lucia Stanley V. Srupsas 70, husband of Rita (Cro-teau) Moselsky, of 30 Bristol Road, Windsor Locks, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1993) at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He was born in Hartford and lived in Windsor Locks for 40 years.

He was a WW II Marine veteran, a member of the American Legion Gensi-Viola Post 36, the VFW Smalley Brothers Post 6123, the Italian-American Club, and the Polish American Club. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Les Jan-sen of Enfield; a daughter, Joyce L. Allen of Enfield; two sisters, Ethel Morin and Evelyn Navaroli, both of Windsor Locks; two brothers, Roland Moselsky of Southing-ton and Henry Moselsky of Windsor Locks; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be Thursday, 11 a.m., at the Kania Funeral Home, 105 Oak Windsor Locks. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, with full military honors.

24, 1993, at Mount Sinai Hospital, Hartford. Born Feb. 10, 1910 in Beechers Town, Jamaica, West Indies, he lived in the Hartford area for many years. Funeral Thursday, a.m. Visitation, at the Gen-naro J.

PFUNDER. Anna Mae (Regan) Pfunder, 94, of 4 Charter Road, Rockville, widow of William C. Pfunder, died Monday Jan. 25) at home. She was born (n Rockville, daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Carroll) Regan, and was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Pfunder was employed by CL4.P, and was the society reporter, and a secretary for the former Rockville Leader. She was a communicant of St. Bernard's Church, and was organist and soloist at the church for many years. She was a charter member of the St.

Bernard's Women's Guild, a member of the Auxiliary to Sons of Union Veterans of Civil War, a member of American Legion Post No. 14 Auxiliary, and a former member of the Rockville Fire Department Auxiliary. Her door was always open, especially to the young who responded with loving care. Mrs. Pfunder is survived by a son, William C.

Pfunder of Oregon; two daughters, Marie Konlckl, and Ellen Chlcoine, both of Rockville; 17 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Carroll Anne Pfunder. Funeral service will be Thursday, 9 a.m., from the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect Rockville, with a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., in St. Bernard's Church. Burial will be In St.

Bernard's Cemetery. PRACON. Mary Pracon, 81, of Hartford, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1993) at Greenwood Health Center, Hartford. She was born in Rockville, and lived In Hartford for most of her life. Funeral service will be Thursday, 10 a.m., at the Talarskl Maple Hill Chapels, 380 Maple Hartford.

Sadler. 53, of 91 Pliny Hartford, died Saturday (Jan. 23, 1993) at Mt. Sinai Hospital. He was born In Clover, S.C., and had lived In Hartford the past 41 years.

He was a member of An-tloch Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran of Vietnam, a member of Tuscan Lodge No. 17. and the American Legion McKlnney King Post No. 142.

He was employed by Hartford Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center for eight years, and was a member of Viva America Marketing Network. He Is survived by his wife, Isabell (Trlmmler) Sadler; two sons, Michael Sadler and Tyrone Sadler, both of Hartford; three sisters, Mable Smith of Maryland, Annie Berry of North Carolina, and Ollie Tate of New York; three brothers, Isaiah Sadler and John Sadler, both of Philadelphia, and Richard Sadler of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Shaver, 78. resident of the Sheridan (Wyo.) area since 1947, passed away Thursday (Jan. 21, 1993) at the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital. Leila was born Dec. 21, 1914, In Bloomfield, daughter of Pleaman and Louise S.

(Cadwell) Hopkins. She was united In marriage to Frederick Roy Shaver Oct. 26, 1944, In Casper, Wyo. She served as a member of the Civil Defense Petrol, Canton, from 1941 to 1943. Lei la especially loved fishing In the mountains and taking care of her family.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Sheridan, Wyo. Besides her parents, Mrs. Shaver was preceded in death by her brother, William Hopkins; and a sister, Madeleine P. Erickson. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Leanna Wagner of Columbus, Ohio, and Martha Prescott of Twin Bridges, two sons.

Plea-man F. Shaver of Kaneohe, Hawaii, and William F. Shaver of Fort Collins, Colo a sister, Malda Root of Canton; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Shaver was Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Sheridan, with Rev.

She was born in Cary, Maine, educated in the Maine School System, and graduated from Ricker Classical Institute, Class of 1938, and taught in the Maine School Systems, and lived in Eastford many years. She was a communicant of St. Philip the Apostle Church in Warrenville.

Mary is survived by her husband, Dana R. Hand of Orient, Maine; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark D. and Judy Hand, Sr. of Willington; four daughters and sons-in-law, Shari and Joseph Par-adis of Willington, Ellen and Thomas Backnaus of Moores Forks, N.Y., Marilyn and William J. Titone of Stafford Springs, Lisa and Joseph DeJesse of Eastford; four grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert J.

Moore in Maine, William Moore of a sister, Mrs. James (Lois) McPartland in Maine; and many nieces; nephews; and cousins. There will be a Memorial Mass, 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 30, 1993, at St. Philip the Apostle Church, Warrenvile, in St.

LUCIA. Attorney Louis V. Lucia, 102, the husband of the late Loretta (Colli) Lucia, died Monday, Jan. 25, 1993, in West Hartford. He was born In Cropani, Province of Calabria, Italy, and Immigrated to the U.S.

In 1899, residing in Hartford, and, for the past 60 years, In West Hartford. His career as a patent attorney and inventor began with the firm of Arthur Jenkins and Harry Hall in Hartford. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War returning to join the Fuller Brush Co. as manager for product development.

Maintaining his private practice, in 1931 he began consulting work with the Silex Co. where he developed and patented their coffee maker, steam iron, and several electric appliances. He retired in 1962. During World War II, he was active within the Department of Defence. A holder of over 80 U.S.

and foreign patents, his Inventions Include the pop-up toaster, a parking meter, and a paper-drinking cup ma-. chine. His last patent was issued to him in March of 1982 for a wave-action power plant. He was a founding Charter Member of the Conn. Patent Law Association, a past member of the Elks Club of Rome, N.Y., the Klwanis Club of Hartford, and a honorary member of the Golf Club of Avon, the City Club, and the Old Guard of West Hartford.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Delores G. Lucia of West Hartford; his two daughters, Dr. Marian R. Michlni of West Hartford, and Janet L.

and her husband, Sherman Cowdrey of Englewood, his grandchildren and their husbands and wives, Elizabeth L. and James Malley of Ellington, Joanne and Rudy Kowalczyk of Canton, Carol M. and Craig Colby of Newington, Paul P. and Janet Michlni In Ohio, Ann M. and Robert Slegel of Rocky Hill, Louis J.

Main West Hartford 06107. MATTA. Eva Maxine (Kimball) Matta, 72, of 10 Landers New Britain, died Tuesday (Jan. 26) at New Britain General Hospital, after a brief Illness. She was born In Fort Fairfield, Maine, and she came to New Britain 40 years ago.

She was the widow of Peter Matta. She was active with the New Britain Senior Center. She will be greatly missed by her children, Diane E. Matta of Newington, Dale and her husband Nicholas Debacher of Brewster, Maxine Lee Matta of Westbrook, and Peter Matta and his wife Paula of Farmlngton; her grandchildren, Peter, Frank, and Angela Sclrpo, all of Newington, Candace (Candelorl) Nuccl and her husband Michael Nucci of Old Say-brook, Christopher Rich and Jennifer Rich of Westbrook, Katie, Jessica and Tyler Matta of Berlin; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Catherine and Lauren Nuccl, all of Old Saybrook; a sister, Joanne Carlson of Brockton, a brother, Franklin Kimball of Peabody, and several nieces and nephews. Cremation will be at Cedar Hill Crematory.

Mirmino, 71, of Hartford, passed away Jan. 25, 1993, at the J.F.K. Hospital, Atlantis, Fla. Born and raised In Hartford, he was a winter resident of Lake Worth, Fla. He was a member of Stepney Lodge No.

Carmela (Veronesl) Scotti, 85, of Tolland, died Tuesday (Jan. 26, 1993) at her home. She was the widow of Joseph Louis Scotti. She was born In Shamut, and had been employed at Lord Taylor for many years as a seamstress -and dress maker. She was a mem-' ber of St.

Matthew's Church, Tolr land, a member of the Fratelenza organization. New Britain, and' the Senior Citizens of Tolland. She is survived by a son, Albert Scotti of Hebron; a daughter, Caroline S. Skelley of Tolland; a brother, Gary Veronesl of West Hartford; a sis-' ter, Margaret Blghinatti of Mid-dletown; five grandchildren, Jo- Anne Bochlccnlo, Moira Allen, Caroline Carbone, Albert Scotti, and Allison Waddlngton; and five great-grandchildren, Michael Carbone, Maura Carbone, Caitlln Allen, Nicholas Waddlngton, and Graham Waddington. SCOVILLE. Rosemarie, 63, of Judd Road, Terryville, wife of Donald Scoville, died Monday, Jan. 25," 1993, at home. Born in Bristol, Dec. 5, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Roccanello) Raffanello, and had been a Terryville resident since 1972.

She" worked in the Central Supply Department of Bristol Hospital for 25 years before retiring six years -ago. She was a member of St. Matthew Church. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters. Susan Tyrell of Watertown, Jane Tyrell Valvo of Bristol, and Sheryl Scoville of Bristol; two sons, Nicholas Peruglno of Grot- on, and Todd Scoville of Bristol; grandson, Justin Tyrell; three rothers, Albert Raffanello of New Britain, Louis Raffanello of Newington, Carmen Raffanello of Bristol; four sisters, Mildred Ro- sabella, Marie Baylock, and Betty Bunnell of Bristol; a son, Steven Scoville; and sister, Gloria Ml-chalsky, died earlier.

Mark Mosley Willett, 43, president and senior partner of Micro Solutions, of New Orleans, died Wednesday (Jan. 13) of cancer at his home.

Mr. Willett was born In Fredonla, N.Y., and lived In New Orleans, for many years. He was a graduate of Michigan State University, and University of Illinois. He had served as president of the Parent Advisory Group of the Jefferson Parish schools In New Orleans. 25, 1993, at Miller Memorial Community In Merlden. Father Glynn was born In Bridgeport, Nov. 14, 1912, a son of the late Michael and Elizabeth O'Nell Glynn, and was graduated from St. Augustine's School and Central High School there. He spent two years of college at St.

Thomas Seminary In Bloomfield, and completed a five-year period of philosophical and theological studies at the Grande SeminaTr do St. Sulplce In Paris, France. He was ordained to the priesthood In the Cathedral of Notre Dame In Paris on June 29, 1938 by the then Archibishop of Paris, the late Jean Cardinal Verdlor. When Father Flynn returned to Connecticut, his first assignments were at Sacred Heart and Corpus Chrlstl parishes In Wethersfield. Then, for three and one half years during World War he served as a Chaplain In the U.S.

Navy In the Pacific Theater. Upon his return to the diocese of Hartford, he became the Instructor of American History and Religion at Mount St. Joseph Academy In West Hartford. He also served as a Professor of Philosophy and Theology at the Diocesan Teacher's College, and served as Chaplain at the Home of the Good Shepherd In Hartford. Throughout his many years of priesthood, Father Glynn was widely known and respected by his fellow priests and his many parishioners as an extremely gifted and effective preacher.

He had served as Pastor of St. Boniface Church In New Haven from 1959 until 1965, St. Matthew Church In Forestville from 1965 until 1967, Most Holy Trinity Church In Wallingford from 1967 until 1970, where he had also served as the Area Dean of Clergy, and St. Clare Church In East Haven from 1970 until 1979. He served as Pastor Emeritus at St.

Joseph Church In Meriden from 1979 until 198S, and from 1985 until recently, had served at St. Mary Church In Branford, and Our Lady of Pompeii and St. Vincent dePaul Churches In East Haven where he had resided for several years. He Is survived by a brother, Walter E. Glynn of Fairfield; a sister-in-law, Lottie Glynn of Fairfield; and several nieces; nephews; grand-nieces; and grandnephews.

Army veteran of World War II. He was a supervisor for the Department of Public Works, City of Hartford, and was employed by the U.S. Post Office, Hartford, for 28 years, retiring seven years ago. Frank played for the Army All-Star National Baseball Team, that toured such places as Australia, the Philippines, and Europe. He was drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers, and was sent to their Minneapolis, Triple A Farm System.

In the 1970s he worked as a Boston Red Sox Scout In New England. He played in the Hartford Twilight League, and on May 23, 1987, was elected Into their Hall of Fame. Besides his wife, he Is survived by a son, Frank DiBattista a daughter, Rosemary DiBattista, both of Wethersfleid; a brother, Anthony DiBattista of East Hartford; a sister, Mary Pappalardo of Newlng-ton; and three grandchildren, John DiBattista, and Mary Alice DiBattista, both of Wethersfield, and Gina DiBattista of Newington.
