Bransfield, 70, of 516 Main Portland, husband of Mary (Flynn) Bransfield, died Tuesday (June 22) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Middletown on October 12, 1922, son of the late Joseph and Marguerite (Campion) Bransfield, he had lived for most of his life in Portland. He attended Portland High School, Suffield Academy, and graduated from the University of Conn. He owned and operated the John W. Bransfield Insurance Agency on Main Street, Portland from 1972 to 1991.

He was a II U.S. ArmyAir Corps Technical Sargent where he was Five Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Ribbon, Air Medal, and EAMT Ribbon. He was a lifelong member of the Church of St. Mary, Portland, and had served parish council in the 1970s when the committee was rebuilding the original church. He also had an active part in its fund drives.

Mr. Bransfield attended daily at St. Mary's Chapel. He was a member of the American Legion Ormont Post No. 69, Portland, and a Commissioner of American Legion Baseball, Zone Three, and had served on the committee when Middletown hosted the national playoffs.

George Basiel, a member of the American Legion, praised Mr. Bransfield for all his dedication and hard work as Chairman of the Baseball League. He was past President and current Treasurer of Portland Little League, Intermediate League. In 1973, Mr. Bransfield was instrumental in getting the golf course to locate in Portland.

He was presently serving as member and Chairman of the Portland Economic Development Commission, was a member of the Industrial Development its Chairman, a member the Commission, and also served, as Conn. Association of Municipal Development and Economic Commission, also the Middlesex County Development Council, had been member and past Chairman of the Portland Democratic Town Committee, and was presently serving as Chairman of its Nominating Committee. He had worked on many campaign committees for the election of state and local representatives. He served as a delegate to the Democratic State Convention for the past several years. Mr.

Bransfield had also manned the Democratic Headquarters on election day in recent years. He was also a member of the Hibernians and was had been active with the United Fund over 20 years. He was a past President as well as a past fund drive chairman. He frequently chaired the Industrial Division as well as the Budget Committee. Besides his wife, he is survived by four sons, Jack P.

Bransfield of Boston, MIchael W. Bransfield of Jersey City, N.J., Thomas J. Bransfield of Portland, and Peter J. Bransfield of Glastonbury; two daughters, Maura B. Dillon of Portland, and Ellen B.

Kelley of Portland; two brothers, Joseph P. Bransfield, Jr. of Middletown, and Peter C. Bransfield of Glastonbury; a sister, Marie B. Gole of Meudon, France; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 9 a.m., from the Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main Portland, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in the Church of St. Mary Chapel, PortBurial will follow in the family plot in St. Mary Cemetery, Portland. Marjory Grace (Steinmetz) Hutchinson, 68, of Turkey Hill Road, East Granby, wife of the late Thomas P. Hutchinson and Francis MacDonald, died Sunday, June 20, 1993, at her home in East Granby. She was born June 24, 1924 in Port Chester, N.Y., daughter of Elmer K. Steinmetz and Christine (Paterson) Steinmetz of Mt. Kisco, N.Y., and had lived on Long Island and in Simsbury prior to moving to East Granby five years ago.

She attended Oberlin College in Oberlin, Ohio, received her Bachelor's degree from Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., and received Master's degrees from the State University of New York at New Paltz and C.W. Post College in Westbury, N. Y. She was a school teacher in New York in the towns of Spring Valley, Levittown, and Port Jefferson Station for over 20 years prior to her retirement in 1969. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jill Ann and William Hudock of Simsbury; three grandchildren, Jameson Paul, Jefferson Thomas, and Jessica Ann Hudock, also of Simsbury; a son, John K.

Mahony of Glendale, her mother, Christine P. Steinmetz of Mt. Kisco, N. a sister, Sally Ann Steinmetz of New Canaan; a sister-in-law, Elaine and husband, Ernest Rossi of Granby; and three stepdaughters, Susan Jean MacDonald, Barbara Ann MacDonald, and Mary Ellen Shamett. Petersburg, formerly of Hartford, died Tuesday (Jue 22, 1993) at St. Petersburg (Fla.) General Hospital. She was born Feb. 12, 1931, daughter of M. Evelyn (Little) Joyce of Hartford, and the late Willard G.

Joyce. She lived in the Hartford area for most of her life, moving to Florida in 1984 following her retirement from CIGNA. Besides her mother, she leaves her sister and brother-inlaw, Lois J. and Frederick C. Schneider of Newington; two aunts, Olive L.

Little, and MarioRourke, both of Hartford; an uncle, Frank G. Little of Manchester; her nephew, John F. Schneider of Snellviile, her nieces, Jane S. Bradford of Vienna, and Dr. Anne S.

Kennedy, 73, of Vernon, died Monday (June 21) at the Enfield Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband, of M. Dorothy (McIntyre) Kennedy. Born in Waterbury, the son of the late Frank and Anna (Horan) Kennedy, he graduated from Wilby High School, Waterbury, Class of 1938. He served with the 106th Infantry Regiment in the South Pacific during World War II, and was discharged with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

He then received his Bachelor's degree from Bentley College, Class of 1949, and later attended Northeastern University. Mr. Kennedy worked as a field supervisor and marketing manager for St. Paul Insurance Co. retiring in 1984.

He was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. Besides his wife, he leaves four childen, Reta A. Kennedy and D. Kennedy, both of Vernon, Harold F.

Kennedy, Jr. of Wolcott, and James J. Kennedy of Jacksonville, two brothers, James Kennedy and Francis Kennedy; a sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Buddy Ferro, all of Waterbury; two aunts; and several cousins; nieces; nephews; grandnieces; and grandnephews. Funeral services will be Friday, June 25, 9:15 a.m., from the Ladd-Turkington Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Rt. 83), Vernon, with a Mass of Christian burial to be held at 10 a.m., in St.

McBRIDE. Gary Steven McBride, 14, of 71 Williams Hartford, departed this life Thursday (June 10) in Hartford. He was born in Hartford, July 11, 1978, to Crystal McBride of Hartford, and Gary Mounds of West Hartford, and lived in Hartford for all of his life. He was a student of HartfordWindsor public schools. Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Aaron Mounds ill of Hartford, and Matthew Mounds of West Hartford; two sisters, Ratosha McBride of Hartford, and Syrita McBride of Windsor; his maternal grandmother, Charlotte McBride; and maternal greatgrandmother, Bertha McBride, both of Windsor; paternal grandfather, Aaron Mounds Sr.

NELSON. Irving L. Nelson, 68, of 35 Spring Glastonbury, husband of Dorothy (Case) Nelson, died Saturday, June 19, 1993, in Winterhaven, Fla. Born in Hartford, he has lived in Glastonbury all of his life. He was the son of Irving L.

and Doris (McKinstry) Nelson. Prior to his retirement in 1987, he was a fire department lieutenant for Pratt Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for 33 years. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served in World War 11, and a member of the V.F.W. Post of Glastonbury.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Irving L. Nelson Ill of Marlborough; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and Kenneth Zurcher of Glastonbury, Kathleen and Raymond Price of Glastonbury; and a daughter, Deborah Gallicchio of Glastonbury, and her fiance, Wayne Warren; a stepmother, Evangeline Nelson of West Hartford; a sister, Norene Gusley of Manchester; a half brother, Gary McKinstry in California; and six grandchildren, Christina, Kathryn, and Karrie Zurcher, Lisa and Amie Price, all of Glastonbury, and Nicole Nelson of Marlborough; and many special friends. Aurelio Negron, 71, of Manchester, died Sunday (June Florida, Puerto Rico, he was a resident of Hartford prior to moving to Manchester five years ago. Surviving are his wife, Blanca Colon of Manchester; six sons, Jaime of Springfield, Aurelio Edwin, both of Hartford, Juan of Bayamon, P.R., Jose Antonio and Ivan of Manchester; seven daughters, Neraida, Ester, Maria, and Carmen, all of Hartford, Margarita of Ciales, P.R., Julia of Springfield, and Gloria of Manchester; 66 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, 8:15 a.m., at the DeLeon Funeral Home, 104 Main Hartford, 104 Main Hartford, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 9 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Church. Calling hours today, 5-9 p.m. died Wednesday (June 9) at his home in Florida.

Born in Manchester, N.H., he had lived in Windsor for 43 years, moving to Florida where he had wintered for the past nine years. Before retiring in 1978, he was employed for 17 years as a master mechanic for O. G. Construction Co. of Torrington.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War Il and the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church, Windsor, a member of Operating Engineers Union Local No.

478, the Bishop McAulliffe Council 3181 of Windsor, and New Smyrna Beach Lodge of Elks No. 1557 B.P.O.E. Besides his wife, a son, David Roy of Manchester; three daughters, Sandra Alvarez in California, Judith Romankiw of Plantsville, and Patricia Siegel of Southington; brother, Roland Roy in California; four sisters, Marcelline Riley in Maine, Rita Mlynarski of Newington, Theresa McAdoo of Kensington, and Lorraine Butler of East Hartford; seven grandchildren; and three dren. Sieg, 73, of Stuart, beloved husband of Madeline (Mcintosh) Sieg, died Thursday (June 17) at Martin Memorial Hospital South, Port Salerno, Fla. He was born in Meriden, son of the late Albert and Frances (Malotke) Sieg, and had lived in Windsor for 17 years, and had been a resident of Stuart, for two months. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War 11. Prior to retiring, he was employed by Engineering, Windsor Locks, as a Senior Design Draftsman.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter and sonin-law, Beth Ann and Ronald Belanger of Andover; a son, David Sieg Jr. of Hartford; a brother, Edward Sieg of Meriden; three grandchildren, Kirsten, and Amy Belanger, and Ryan Sieg. Nicola Tiberio, 72, of Wethersfield, husband of Natalie (Vincenzo) Tiberio, died Monday (June 21, 1993) at Hartford Hospital. Born in Sepino, Province of Campobasso, Italy, he lived in Wethersfield since 1959. He was the owner of Church Street Auto Body, Hartford, for 35 years. During World War 11, he served for eight years in the Italian Army, and was a prisoner of war for three years. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, M.

Steven and Nancy Tiberio of Wethersfield, and John N. Tiberio of Portland; a brother, Sebastiano Tiberio of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; two sisters, Lucia Petrillo, and Carmela D'Anello, both of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; and four grandchildren, Lauren Tiberio, Nicholas Tiberio, Brett Tiberio, and Alexander TIberio. WASILIEFF. Edgar N. Wasilieff, 77, of Alexander Street, Man- chester, husband of Margarete (Turek) Wasilieff, died Monday (June 21, 1993) at his home. He was born June 28, 1915, in New York City, and had been a resident of Manchester since the 1940s. Mr.

Wasilieff was a in veteran the U.S. of World War Air serving Army Corps. He was a Guidance Counsellor at Glastonbury High School until his retirement in 1977. He was High School Baseball, Track, and Swimming Teams Coach, Yearbook and Class Advisor, and English Teacher. He was the Director of the Hartford Symphony Chorale for 20 years, and was a member of the Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale for over 20 years.

He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Ivan Wasilieff; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen D. and David Almond of Manchester; and three grandchildren, Timothy M. Almond, Heather B. Almond, and Rebekka K.

He was born July 14, 1912 in Annapolis, Nova Scotia, and had been a resident of Manchester most of his life. Mr. Willis was a Veteran of World WAr I1 serving in the U.S. Air Force. He was owner and operator of the Don Willis Garage, Inc.

for many years. He was a member of Center Congregational Church, a member of the Manchester Elks, American Legion Post No. 102, the Coast Gaurd Auxiliary, the Past President of the Independent Garage Owners Association, and a volunteer fireman for the 8th District Fire Department. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Diane Willis, John and Carol Willis, all of Manchester; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Charles Zanlungo of Manchester; a sister, Dorothy Krah of Bend, seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Manchester.

He was born in Hartford, graduated from Berlin High School, and had lived in Bloomfield most his adult life. He was a member of Bethel AME Church where he served on the Stewart Board, the Men's Club, Men's Chorus, and as a church school teacher. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II, and a retired employee of Pratt Whitney, East Hartford, and Aetna Life Insurance Co. He is survived by a brother, Frederick Tinsley and wife, Daphne Tinsley in California; several nieces and nephews, including Frederick Tania, and Karen California; other relatives and friends.

A Memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 10 a.m., at Bethel AME Church, 1154 Blue Hill Bloomfield. The family will receive friends at 9 a.m., at the church. Burial at the convenience of the family. The Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service, 2087 Main Hartford, has charge of the arrangements.

Adelord Cheverier, 73, of 480 Kennedy Road, Windsor, beloved husband of Rita (Cote) Cheverier, died Tuesday (June 22) at Veterans Administration Hospital, Newington. Born in Island Pond, he had lived in Hartford moving to Windsor 48 years ago. Before retiring in 1982, he was an autobody mechanic and operated Al's Autobody in Windsor for many years.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War I1 in the Pacific Theater. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel's Church, Windsor, was a former member of the Windsor Police Auxiliary River Patrol, a member of the Raymond B. McHugh Post 4740 VFW, the Windsor Rod and Gun Club, and an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman.

Besides his wife, he leaves a sister, Helen Cheerier Myslywicz of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday, 8:15 a.m., from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 9 a.m., at St. Gabriel's Church. Joseph Arvid Franzen, 98, of Rocky Hill, husband of the late Laura (Person) Franzen, died Tuesday (June 22, 1993) at home after brief illness. Born in Tidaholm, Sweden, was a longtime resident of the Hartford area. He was retired from the Arrow Hart Hegeman where he was employed for many years. He was a member of the former Bethel Baptist Church, Hartford, and a member of the First Church of Christ, Wethersfield. He was predeceased by his wife, Laura, in 1976, and a daughter, Doris Franzen Gustafson, in 1958.

He is survived by his daughter, Margaret L. Johnson of Wethersfield; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Warren and Ruth Franzen of Wetherfield, and Richard and Judith Franzen of Rocky Hill; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of Patrick DiFronzo. She born in Limosano, Compo Basso, Italy, 1913, daughter of the late Angelo, and Antonette Marcantonio. She former Rose Bud Restaurant, Plainville, for over 35 years.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Church. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Fred Marcantonio of Plainville; and four daughters, Mrs. Annette Schmidt of Sarasota, Mrs. Jane Teffs of Plainville, Mrs. Nancy Smart of Conyers, and Mrs.

Rosalie Elias of Plainville; two brothers, Armano Marc Anthony, and Gene Marc Anthony, both of Stuart, a sister, Jessie lammonico of Hartford; 13 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. FARLEY, Harry C. Farley, 90, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for to Hazel (Cronkhite) Farley, died Sunday (June 20, 1993) at a local convalescent hospital. He was born in Bridgewater, Maine, son of the late James H. and Annie (Barker) Farley, and had lived in the Hartford area since 1941. Prior to his retirement, Mr.

Farley worked for Gustave Fischer, for 27 years. He was a graduate of Gray's Business College, Portland, Maine, a 40 year member of Aroostick Lodge No. 197 Mars Hill, Maine, a member of Broadview Community Church UCC, and a member of Southwest Senior Citizens. Besides his wife, he is survived by son, Robert C. Farley of West a Hartford; two grandchildren, Richard Farley of Hartford, and David Farley and his wife, Nancy, of Mariborough; two nieces, Sally Heavisides, and Brenda Scotto.

Grace (Thomas) Fyler, 92, of Babson Park, wife of the late Wadsworth Gray Fyler, died Tuesday, June 22, 1993, at the home of her son in West Simsbury. She was born August 20, 1900 Syracuse, N.Y., daughter of the late Arthur and Lena (Hill) Thomas, and had lived in West Simsbury for 13 years prior to moving to Babson Park, Fla. 42 ago.

She was employed as a kindergarten teacher in Farmington for several years. Mrs. Fyler was member of the Simsbury Grange, for over 50 years, the Park Audubon Society, and the Babson Park Garden Club. She is survived by three sons, Wadsworth T. Fyler West Simsbury, Walter A.

Fyler of Houston, Texas, Charles A. Fyler of Denver, two daughters, Ruth Langford of South Windsor, and Grace Farnsworth of Guilford; 16 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
