289-0209 DEATH NOTICES BARONE. Raymond A. Barone, 62, of 37 Briar Lane, Southington, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 1995) at Southington Care Center. He was the husband of Alice (O'Brien) Barone.

Born in New Haven, the son of the late Nicholas and Angelina (Tessitore) Barone. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Prior to his retirement eight years ago, he had been employed by SNET. He was a parishloner of Mary Our Queen Church.

'Mr. Barone was a member of Wonx Tribe No. 28 Redmen, and the SNET Pioneers. Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Lisa driques and of her husband Southington, Normans bara Shanly of Plantsville; a brother, Dr. Michael Barone of Bridgeport; four grandchildren, Evan, Caiflin, and Jake; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Barone. The funeral will be Saturday, 9:15 a.m., from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main to Mary Our Queen Church, 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Calling hours will be p.m. Donations may be made in his memory to Children Cancer Fund, 263 Farmington Farmington 06032. BOONE. Mary Lee Boone, 67, of Heritage Cove, Essex, died Tuesday (Nov. 21, 1995) af Conn.

Hospice in Branford. She was the widow of Rev. William J. Boone. She was born in Cleveland, OH, on Oct.

17, 1928, daughter of the late Thomas and Jean (Hanna) McCausland. She is survived by son, Robert Lund, of Auburn, CA; three daughters, Marcia Barrera, of North Caldwell, NJ, Janet Komorowski, of Warwick, NY, and Candace Fant, of Portland, OR; a brother, T.J. McCausland, of WinDetka, IL; three nephews; her grandchildren include, John Matthew, Jennifer and Jared Komorowski, Colin, Taryn, and Regan Fant, Jessica Jeffrey, Emily Lund, and Abigail Marylee Lund. Memorial services will be held on Sunday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m., at the First Congregational Church of Essex.

CARBONE. Julia N. Carbone, 86, of 441 Ash Willimantic, widow of Charles Stahl and Frank V. Carbone, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 1995) at St.

Francis Hospital, Hartford. She was born February 21, 1909, in Mass, Michigan, the daughter of the late Frans and Aina (Laitinen) Nieminen and has resided in the Windham area since 1950. In 1967, she retired as the secretary to Dr. Hanson, at Universify of Connecticut School of Agriculture. She is survived by a son, and daughter-In-law, Charles and Luella Stahl, of N.

Windham; a daughter, and son-in-law, Edith and Gil Sauve, of Windsor Locks; a step-daughter, and son-in-law, Muriel and Robert Dillon, of Hartford, three sisters-in-law, Helen Nieminen, of Eastford, Evelyn Nieminen, Thompson, and Gabrielle Faddis, in FL; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces; and nephews. The funeral will be private with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, Windham. There are no calling hours. Charman, and mother of Rev. Eugene J. Charman of Southington, Patricia O'Brien of Florida, and Barbara Hughes of New Haven; sister of Walter Grudzinski of East Haven. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and ten greaf-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church of St.

Vincent de Paul, Saturday, 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Lawrence Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, SouthIngton, today, 7 p.m. There will be calling hours.

Born in Hartford, she lived in the Hartford area all of her life. She was the widow of Harry Gassner. Together with her late husband, they owned The French Cleaners, Inc. in West Hartford. She was a member of the American Medical Center Cancer Research Center in Denver, the Hebrew Home and Hospital Auxiliary, and Hadassah.

She was a former member of Beth Hillel Synagogue of Bloomfield. She leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael E. and Roslyn Gassner of West Hartford, and Dr. Peter D. and Elsa Gassner of Bloomfield; six grandchildren, Nancy Clayton and her husband Susan Cote and her husband Philip, Judy Gassner, Jeffrey Gassner and his wife Helene, Deborah Gassner, and Jason Gassner; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, 1 p.m., in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Hartford, with interment in Hartford City Lodge, Cemetery, Hartford. A memorial period will be observed at the home of her son, Michael E. Gassner, 102 Haynes West Hartford, through Monday evening. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. James B. George, 75, of Windsor, beloved husband of Florence (Rice) George, died Thanksgiv- ing Day (Nov. 23, 1995) at a local nursing home. Born in Hartford, son of the late James B. Sr.

and Lucy (Britt) George, he had lived in Windsor for the past 43 years. Before retiring in 1985, he was employed for 37 years by the State of Connecticut Revenue Department. He joined the CT Army National Guard in 1939 in the 43rd Division, was federalized in 1941, and served in the U.S. Army 191st Tank Battalion, Company as a 1st sergeant. He was a member and treasurer for 17 years of the Windsor Rod and Gun Club, and a communicant of St.

Gabriel's Church, Windsor. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter and -law, Susan and Joseph Ivey of Boynton Beach, FL; a son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Elise George of Riverside, IL; three grandchildren, Richard L. Bennett Ill of Berlin, Emily A. George, and Jennifer George, both of Riverside, IL; and a nephew, Mark George of Enfield. He was predeceased by a brother, John D.

George. The funeral will be held Saturday, 9:30 a.m., from the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at St. Gabriel's Church, Windsor. Burial will be in Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, with full military honors.

Samuel Greenberg, of Tampa, FL, formerly of West Hartford, died Tuesday (Nov. 21, 1995) at Memorial Hospital, Tampa, FL.

Beloved husband of the late Lillian I. Greenberg, who died Sept. 22, Mr. Greenberg was born Dec. 12, 1905 in Russia, son of the late Morris and Alta Greenberg, and came to this a young child.

Mr. Greenberg was the founder of the Brewers and Bottlers Equipment Co. of Tampa, and was the Chairman of the Board of Directors until his retirement. He and his beloved wife, Lillian, were well-known for their many philanthropic acts and gifts, both in the West Hartford and Tampa Jewish communities. They were named members of the elite Menorah Manor Founders Association in St.

Petersburg for their lifetime honorary board members generous gifts. They were made of the Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Tampa for being benefactors of their synagogue. In Hartford, they purchased the land for a new United Synagogues of Greater Hartford Cemetery, which they donated to the Synagogue. They also made an exceptional gift to the new Hebrew Hospital towards building a new Protective Care Unit in the Hebrew Home. In 1986, they received the coveted "City of Peace Award" for their efforts in heading the State of Israel Bond Drive.

Mr. Greenberg leaves a son, Bernard Z. Greenberg and his wife Anita of Bellaire, FL; two sisters, Bluma Rustein of Springfield, MA, and Annette Golden and her husband Edward of West Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Elinor Greenberg of Richmond, TX; two grandchildren, Maida Goodman and her husband, Albert of Dallas, TX, and their children, Morton Adam Goodman Lewis, Mervin Montana Goodman, and Grant Ablin Goodman, and Mark L. Greenberg and his wife Jennifer of Houston, TX, and their son, Miles Howard Greenberg. He was predeceased by a son in Jan.

21, 1931 in Southridge, MA, a daughter of the late Armand and Phyllis (Mallet) Peloquin. She lived in Farmington for over 30 years, moving to North Carolina 1991. She was employed as the office manager of Superior Building Supplies, Farmington, for 30 years, retiring in 1991. Besides her husband, she leaves four daughters, Mrs. Douglas (Diane) McKissick of Hubert, NC, Dr.

Massa DEATH NOTICES CLARK. Mary Orr Clark, 98, a resident of Farmington, CT and Brooksville, ME for more than 50 years, died October 1995 in Holyoke, MA. Born on Jan. 5, 1897 in New York City, she was the daughter of James Jeanie Orr of Hartford. She was married to Myron Harrison Clark, who died in 1985.

Following her graduation from the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Mrs. Clark taught music in Fresno, CA, and at Miss Porter's School in Farmington where she was Director of Choral Music and vocal teacher. She was also soloist, choir director and organist at the First Church of Christ, Congregational in Farmington. Mrs. Clark was a member of the Music Club of Hartford, serving as President from 1961 to 1963 and was an active participant through her eighties.

She leaves a son, Mr. Harrison Clark Jr. and his wife, Sarah, of Brooksville, ME; a daughter, Jeanie Clark Eysenbach and her husband, John P. Eysenbach of Amherst, MA; ten grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m.

Sunday, Nov. 26 at the First Church of Christ, Congregational, Farmington, CT. The family requests that memorial donations may be made to the Clarke School for the Deaf, Northampton, MA or the American Cancer Society. CRAWFORD. Charles Reid Crawford, 73, of Hale Street, died Tuesday, (Nov.

21, 1995), at his home. He was born in Barre, VT, August 20, 1922, the son of James and Janet (McKee) Crawford. He attended Barre, VT schools and graduated from Spaulding High School in 1940. From January 1943 to November 1945, he served with the U.S. Army 116th Infantry Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division.

In 1950, he began employment with the U.S. Postal Service in Hartford, CT in the parcel post department, retiring in 1980. He had been affiliated with the Christian Science Church. Since 1980 he has made his home in Barre, VT. His only survivors are distant cousins.

Two brothers, Arthur Crawford, and William Elmer Crawford, are deceased. Funeral services will be held Monday, at 2:00 p.m., in the Hooker and Whitcomb Funeral Home, 7 Academy Street, Barre, VT. DePaolo, 87, of Highwood died Wednesday, (Nov. 22, 1995) at Bradley Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Valentine J. DePaolo. Born Feb.

12, 1908, in Southington, the daughter of the late John and Josephine (Muscato) DiNello. She was the founder and co-owner of Val DePaolo's Furniture Store. She and her husband Val were married for 64 years. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church, and a member of the Parish Council, the Ladies Guild of St.

Thomas, the Daughters of Isabella, St. Rita's Circle, Degree of Pocahantas, Bradley Memorial Hospital Auxillary, The Y.M.C.A. seniors, the Calendar House, the Southington Women's Club, MerMakers, and the Republican Women's Club. She is survived by, sons, Joseph J. DePaolo, and Councilman William V.

DePaolo, both of Southington; and two daughters-in-law, Dolores, and Gail DePaolo; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchiland many nieces; and nephews. She was prececeased by seven brothers, Peter, Anthony, Michael, Granzie, Joseph, George and Albert DiNello; and a sister, Mary Dighello. Robert Emmons, 73, 'of Willard' husband Street, of Kath- Simsbury, leen (Hubbard) Emmons, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 1995) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, Hartford, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 28, 1922 in St. Johnsbury, VT, son of the late Arthur and Pauline (LaPlante) Emmons, and had lived in Simsbury for the past 44 years.

He was a veteran of World War I1, having served in the U.S. Army Air Force in the Pacific Theater as a decorated aviator, and was twice awarded the Purple Heart. Mr. Emmons owned and operated Emmons Tropical Fish in Simsbury for 22 years, prior to his retirement in 1987, and had formerly worked at Hamilton Standard for many years. He was a devoted member of St.

Mary's Church, Simsbury, a past Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree Connecticut Council of the Knights of Columbus, and a past Grand Knight of the Bishop John J. Nilan Council and had contributed greatly with the Special Olympics of the World Games. He was a member of the VFW Metacomet Post and of the Simsbury Codgers, and he was a past member of the Simsbury Fish Game Club, the Rotary Club, and Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Emmons was an avid gardener and outdoorsman.

Besides his very best friend and beloved wife of 50 years, he is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Ray: mond and Kathryn Emmons of Park City, UT, Brian and Barbara Emmons of Lorton, VA, Art and Terry Emmons of East Granby, and Steve and Pam Emmons of East Hartland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and James Sansone of North Granby, and Martha and Richard Cotterell of Virginia Beach, VA; a daughterin-law, Susan of Burlington; a three sisters; eight grandchildren, Kevin, Sheryl, and Heather Sansone, Elaine, Craig, Scott, Ryan, and Ashley Emmons; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Robert and Daniel, and a grandson, Michael. 22, 1995) at a local nursing home. Born in Hartford, living in New Britain, and moving to West Hartford many years ago, he was retired from the Hoffman Paint Co. He was a member of the First Lutheran Reformation Church, New Britain, and a graduate of Bulkley High School. He was a member of Norden Lodge No. 1, Order of Vasa, Walnut Hill Lodge No.

139, Ancient Mystic Order of Bagmen of Bagdad, United Commercial Travelers, the AARP of West Hartford, West Hartford Regents, Sphinx Temple AAONMS, and the Shriners. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by a sister, Viola F. GANLEY. Miss Helen U. Ganley, formerly of Loomis Dr. West Hartford, died Thursday, (Nov. 23, 1995), at the Hughes Convalescent HAUCK.

Margaret (Fitzsimmons) Hauck, 87, formerly of New Britain, widow of Harry J. Hauck, died Thursday (Nov. 23, 1995) at Southington Care Center, Southington. She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late James H. Fitzsimmons and Mary (Murphy) Fitzsimmons.

She lived in Marlborough from 1953 to 1965, when she moved to Florida. She returned to Connecticut in 1991. She is survived by her son and daughter-In-law, Afty. Lawrence J. Fagan and Mary 'Ann Fagan of Kensington; two daughters and sonsin-law, Maureen F.

Dena C. Mello, 89, of 421 Spring Manchester, died Wednesday (Nov. 22, 1995) at her home. She was the widow of John Cabral Mello. Born in Barrington, RI, she resided in Manchester for the past 38 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Anne-Louise and Edward J. Gracyalny, with she lived; her two sisters, Wilhemina Camara and Anna Rutkiewitcz of Warren, RI; three grandchildren, Anne E. Gracyalny of Guilford, Mary L. Gracyalny and her husband, Robert Leonovicz of Bolton, John C. Gracyalny of Leucadia, CA; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Camara, and her brother, Manual Camara. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, 10 a.m., at St. James Church, Main Manchester. Burial is at St. Jean de Baptiste Cemetery, 2 p.m., in Warren, RI.

James Church, Manchester. NUSSDORF. Oscar Nussdorf, 76, of S.W. 15th Place, Deerfield Beach, 33442, beloved husband of Stella Cantor Nussdorf, died Nov. 16, 1995, in Florida.

He was a resident of Tolland, Rockville and West Hartford for most of his life before moving to Florida approximately 24 years ago. Oscar was a unique individual who touched the lives of many people. His creativity was expressed through poetry, his many inventions and beautiful wood creations. He loved helping people and enjoyed entertaining children as Jingles the Clown. (Meegan) Pagliuca of 15 Woodland Hartford, died Tuesday, (Nov. 21, 1995) in St. Francis Hospital after a sudden illness. Born in New Haven, June 16, 1928, Mrs. Pagliuca was the daughter of the late, William and Nora (Toomy) Meegan and was a life long resident of New Haven before moving to Hartford 18 years ago.

She was a retired employee of the Schwartz Parking Corporation. Mrs. Pagliuca was also a former employee of the Southern New England Telephone Co. She is survived by two sisters, Inez Shea of Hamden, and Jane Martin of New Haven; also several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
