Ferrari, died Saturday (May 30, 1998) in Anaheim, CA. Born in Poquonock, she lived in Windsor Locks and Poquonock for most of her life moving to California in 1986. She was employed by the Stanadyne Corp.

before retiring. She leaves two sons Thomas Ferrari of Nashua, NH, Richard Ferrari of Suffield; a daughter Leila Ferrari of Irvine, CA and two grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother Joseph Jackson and a sister Nellie Gvara. Her family will receive friends Monday 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the Carmon Poquonock Funeral Home, 1816 Poquonock Ave.

Poquonock section of Windsor, to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Poquonock. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Nedley died Thursday (June 4, 1998) at the Kimberly Hall Care Center in Windsor. Born in Nau-gatuck, June 22, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mar-yanna (Sobierajska) Lojewski and had lived in Portland for all her life. Before retiring, Jane was employed with Safeway Heating Element Co. of Middletown. She was a communicant of the Church of St.

Mary in Portland where she was a member of St. Mary's Guild, member and past treasurer of St. Theresa's Society in Portland and enjoyed playing cards with her sister's every Sunday. Besides her loving husband of 56 years, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara N. and Paul B.

Wolf-son of Canton and Jane N. and John E. Farrall of Windsor; a brother, Walter A. Lasky of Middlefield; two sisters, Hedwig "Peggy" Kurcon of Windsor and Regina Ogorzalek of Rockfall; four granddaughters, Elizabeth Wolfson-Ruiz of Manchester, Diane I. Wolfson of Canton, Kimberly A.

Chmura of Windsor Locks, and Christine M. Farrall of Columbia; two geat granddaughters, Amanda Jane Chmura and Jacklynn Paige Chmura, both of Windsor Locks; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Edward Lojewski, Casimir Lojewski, Charlotte Frazier, and Harriot Zawacki. Funeral services will be Monday, 9:15 a.m. from the Portland Memorial Funeral Home, 231 Main Portland, followed by a Mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions in Jane's BITWINSKI. Helen (Kruszewska) Helen Kruszewska Bitwinski of Stratford beloved wife of the late Sigmund G. Bitwinski died Thursday (June 4, 1998) in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Fall River, MA, she was a resident of Stratford for the past 18 years. She was a retired employee of Stop n' Shop Bakery Department in Stratford.

She had also worked for Remington Arms and had been a self-employed caterer. She was a past member of the Ladies Guild of St. Michael the Archangel Church. Survivors include her devoted children, Richard Bitwinski of Warren, Rl, Theresa Bitwinski of Storrs, and Janet Sredzinski of Milford; four grandchildren, John Paul and Jennifer Sredzinski, and Christopher and Jonathan Bitwinski; a sister, Mary Perkowski of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. FACCADIO, Lucille M. (DiGioia) Lucille M. (DiGioia) Faccadio, 76, of Saginaw Trail, Guilford, wife of the late Samuel A. Faccadio, died Thursday (June 4, 1998) at her daughter's home in Middletown. She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Nicholas and Bianca (Capecelatro) DiGioia.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the office of Faccadio Dorsey P.C. She was a member of the Women's Club of Madison, the American Veterans Auxiliary and St. Raphael's Hospital Auxiliary. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald V. and Nancy Faccadio of Filing worth; a daughter, Attorney Lisa A.

"Ted" Piatt, 81, of Belle-vue Avenue, Bristol, husband of Beverly (Stahler) Reagan-Piatt and the late Jessie (Peckham) Piatt, died Wednesday (June 3, 1998) at the Nursing Care Center of Bristol. Born April 26, 1 91 7 in Winchester, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Yon-kofski) Piatt and had lived most of his life in Norfolk before moving to Bristol several years ago. He was a painter for Nickerson Painters for many years before his retirement.

He was a member of Norfolk Congregatioral Church, Norfolk Senior Citizens Center, a Past Master of Western Star Lodge 37 A.F A.M. and O.E.S. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, Richard C. and Gayia Piatt of Aurora, CO and Ronald F. and Dogmar Piatt of Cromwell; a sister, Irene (Piatt) Cleaveland of West Pawlet, VT; three grandchildren, Curtis D.

Piatt of Florida, Dan-iella A. Rodriguez and Sheryl A. In-nazzi both of Cromwell; a great grandson, Austin Alac Rodriguez of Cromwell and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Norfolk Center Cemetery, Norfolk.

44, Salisbury, CT 06068. TIBBITS, Martha C. Martha C. Tibbits, 89, of Columbia, widow of Stewart Tibbits, died Friday (June 5, 1998) at her home. She was born February 22, 1909 in Williman-tic, daughter of the late Burton and Ellen (Wolfe) Clough and had lived in Columbia most of her life.

She was a devoted and caring nurse, touching many lives during her nursing career at Windham Hospital. She was a member of the Columbia Congregational Church, the Columbia Seniors, an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Clough Geneological Society. She is survived by three children, Abby T. Augustin of Mays Landing, NJ, Dean C. Tibbits of Columbia, Gwendolyn T.

Bronson of Natick, 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be Monday (June 8), 1 p.m. at the Columbia Congregational Church. Burial will be private in the West Street Cemetery, Columbia. There are no calling hours.

A memorial service has been planned for Margaret (Peggy) Kos-truba, wife of the late Andrew F. Kostruba, who died Wednesday, (April 22, 1998), in New Port Richey, FL, of injuries received an automobile accident. Peggy was born in Scotland and was a resident of Rocky Hill, moving to New Port Richey in 1984.

She had been a very active member of the deaf community both in Connecticut and Florida. Peggy leaves two sons, Michael Kostruba and his wife, Gail of Granby, and Charles Kostruba and Marcia Gokey of Portland, CT; four grandchildren, Shaun Kostruba and his wife, Pam of West Suffield, Peter Kostruba, and Amy Kostruba of Granby, and Michael Kostruba of Newing-ton. She also leaves a brother, Thomas Reston, and his wife Grace of Hudson, FL; a sister-in-law, Helen Kostruba of New Britain, and many, good life-long friends. Funeral services were held in New Port Richey. The memorial service will be Sunday, (June 14), 10:15 a.m.

Born in New London she had lived in Manchester for many years and had formerly worked in the tobacco and laundry industries. Susie was the wife of the late John Cusano and is survived by her dear friend Josephine Diminico and her family, Joe, Peter and Tony Diminico, who thought of Susie as a second mother and grandmother. Funeral service will be Tuesday (June 9), 9:30 a.m from the John F.

DRISCOLL, Patricia (Tracey) Patricia (Tracey) Driscoll, 77, of East Hartford, beloved wife of John Driscoll, died peacefully at home, Thursday (June 4, 1998) after a courageous struggle with cancer. Born in New London, May 26, 1921, she moved to East Hartford in 1947, and lived there for 51 years. Prior to her retirement in 1985, she was employed by Pratt and Whitney Aircraft. In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by two daughters, Patricia Schwab and her husband Donald of East Hartford, and Kerry Driscoll and her husband Daniel Bailey of West Hartford. She also leaves four loving grandchildren, William Gilnack and his wife Teri, Christopher Gilnack and his fiancee Adrienne Byrnes, all of East Hartford, and Liam and Austin Bailey of West Hartford.

With her warm smile, ready laugh, and sweet, generous heart, Pat was adored by all who knew her; she will be deeply missed. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Newkirk and Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Avenue, East Hartford. Funeral services will be 9:45 a.m.

DULCINE, Sister Mary Sister Mary Dulcine CSSF, 73, died Thursday (June 4, 1998) at Holy Family Infirmary Enfield. Sr. Mary Dulcine (Salome Bartosiak) was born in Mid-dletown, Dec. 31, 1924, the daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (Malin-owski) Bartosiak. Sister Dulcine was a member of the Felician Sisters for 56 years.

She received a B.A. from Regis College, an M.A. from Providence College, and a C.A.E.S. from Boston College. Sr.

Dulcine taught elementary school children from 1944. She was the Principal of the following local schools St. Bernard's School Enfield 1965-68, St. Gabriel School Windsor 1968-71, St. Joseph's School Rockville 1987-88 and Principal at the former Our Lady of the Angels Academy (OLA) Enfield, from 1972-82.

Sister Dulcine is survived by two brothers Leonard Bartosiak of Middletown and Joseph Bartosiak of Harwinton, a sister Nancy Glenn of Middletown and several nephews and a niece. Calling hours at Our Lady of the Angels Convent will be on Sunday 1 p.m. Transportation of Sister's body to the Convent Chapel will take place at 4:30 followed by Evening Prayer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of the Angels Chapel.

Gan dolfo, died Thursday (June 4, 1998). Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived in upstate New York before moving to Berlin in 1960. A World War II U.S. Army Veteran he received the Bronze Star while serving with Patton's 10th Armor Division He attended George Washington University and graduated from New York University with a degree in civil engineering. Mr.

Gandolfo started at To-masso Inc. in 1962 which later became Tilcon-Tomasso, retiring in 1990 as Manager of Heavy and Highway Division. He served the Town of Berlin as a member and longtime chairman of the Public Building Commission during which many public buildings were erected including the Town Hall and Library. He was a former member of the Town Water Control Commission and the Charter Revision Commission. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church of East Berlin, serving on the church council for 17 years.

He was a member and past-president of the Berlin Lions Club; was a fourth degree member of Msgr. Greylish Council, Knights of Columbus; and was a member of the Berlin VFW and the Timberlin Senior Mens Club. Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter, Carol Yorker and her husband Terry of Berlin; a brother, John Gandolfo of Wilmington, DE; two sisters, Anne Thomas of Indianapolis, IN, and Marguerite Ventura of Bronx, NY; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are Monday 9 a.m. at the Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin New Britain, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m.

in Sacred Heart Church of East Berlin, 66 Cottage Street, East Berlin. Burial will be in Maple Cemetery, Berlin. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Donations may be made to The Organ Fund at Sacred Heart Church, of East Berlin.

Members of the Berlin Lions Club will meet at the funeral home Sunday at 6:30 p.m. to pay their respects. MAXWELL, John T. John T. Maxwell, 67, of Willow-stream Drive, Vernon, formerly of Manchester, husband of Judith (Klein) Maxwell, died Thursday (June 4, 1998) at Rockville General Hospital.

Born in Manchester April 28, 1931, son of the late David and Margaret (Leathern) Maxwell, he was raised in Manchester and moved to Vernon in 1972. Prior to retiring in 1993 John had been employed by the Pratt Whitney Div. of U.T.C. for 42 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a lifetime member of the Manchester Coon Fox Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Robert Maxwell of Andover and Scott Maxwell of Coventry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Carl Regini of Vernon, Kim and Robert Buckler of Coventry, and Holly and Anton Radell of Ashford; a brother, Col. William A. Maxwell (Ret.) of Cheyenne, WY; two sisters, Gertrude Wright and Margaret Ellsworth, both of Coventry; seven grandchildren and a great grandson; his mother-in-law, Ellen Klein of Manchester; many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Alan Maxwell, and a sister, Eileen Griswold. Funeral services will be Monday, June 8, 11 a.m.

at the Holmes Funeral Home, 400 Main Street, Manchester. Burial will be in the East Cemetery, Manchester. Calling hours are Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

O'TOOLE, Kimberly (Giesin) Kimberly (Giesin) O'Toole, 32, of Virginia Beach, VA, died Tuesday (June 2, 1998) in Virginia. She was born in Hartford. She was a preschool teacher at Kinder-Care. She leaves her husband, Brian A. O'Toole; two daughters, Nicole O'Toole and Allisha Coston; a son, Brian A.

O'Toole all of Virginia Beach; her mother, Patricia M. Storch of Gloucester, VA; her father, August Giesin of Tolland, CT; maternal grandparents, Patsy and Rose Malinguaggi of Gloucester, VA. She also leaves cousins, Christopher Hornbrook of Tampa, FL; two uncles, Wayne Malin of Connecticut and Joe Malin of Florida; and mother-in-law, Mary O'Toole of Virginia Beach; a special friend, Charles Vakos of Viriginia Beach and a host of other friends. A Mass of Resurrection was held Thursday (June 4), 1 1 a.m. Burial: Colonial Grove Memorial Park, Virginia Beach, VA.

Raymond J. Palmer, 57, of Manchester, died at home after a courageous battle with cancer, Thursday (June 4, 1998). Ray will be sadly missed by his wife, Barbara (Brunetti) Palmer; four children, Kristina Palmer of Glastonbury, R.J. Palmer of Glastonbury, Ashley Palmer of Glastonbury and Gregory Palmer of Bolton. He is also survived by two brothers, Louis J.

Palmer of East Hartford and Edward W. Palmer of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Maryann Wallace of Loraine, OH; and 12 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Louis J. Palmer of Wheeling, WV and his mother Anna (Kalinowski) Palmer Ricco of Elyria, OH. Ray served in the U.S.

Navy for seven years and was an insurance and financial planner for 30 years. Ray was an inspiring coach of basketball and soccer and excelled in all sports. His passions were fishing, golf and family. Friends and family may call at the John F. Tierney Funeral Home, 2 1 9 W.

PHILBRICK, Beatrice Beatrice Philbrick of Hartford died Thursday, (June 4, 1998 in Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford daughter of the late Joseph and Con-cetta (Mazzone) Castro, and was a life long resident. She was a member ot AARP, Hartford Chapter. She leaves a daughter, Kathleen Phil-brick; a sister, Diane Castro, both of Hartford; two brothers and a nephew. The funeral will be Monday, June 8, 9:15 a.m.

ROGERS, Suptei A. "Subby" Suptei A. "Subby" Rogers, 83, beloved father and grandfather, died May 23, 1998, in Florida. He was born Oct. 15, 1913 in Hartford.

He lived in Windsor and Rocky Hill, before retiring to Lake Park, Florida. He was a professional musician who played the trombone. He was a licensed contractor in Connecticut for over 35 years, formerly ran Rogers Bros. Construction, Hartford. He is survived by his daughter, Vivian L.

and husband Vivian A. Forrester of West Palm Beach, FL; sons Theodore and wife Jean Rogers of East Hampton, Richard and wife Diane Rogers of Unionville, Gregory and wife Brenda Rogers of South Windsor and Suptei Jr. and wife Sherry of Florence, MA; a sister, Mary Caporale of Lake Park, FL; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Burial, Services were in Florida. THERRIEN, Effie (Ennis) Effie (Ennis) Therrien, 67, of Hartford, died Thursday (June 4, 1998) at Hartford Hospital.

She was born in Hartford, and was the widow of Laurent Therrien, Sr. She is survived by a son, Laurent Therrien, Jr. of Hartford; two daughters, Rita Therrien Green of Hartford, Carol Therrien of Deer-field, FL; a brother, John Ennis of Hartford; two sisters, Rita Therrien Sims, Ruth Lamore both of New Jersey; three grandchildren, Tina Therrien Ruotolo, Michele Beaulieu Rivera, and Chantel Beaulieu Adorno; also five great grandchildren. She leaves a favorite niece, Lillian Betty Drew, along with many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Therrien Beaulieu.

Funeral services will be Monday, 11 a.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm Rocky Hill with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday, 7-9 p.m. The family would like to thank the V.N.A. of Hartford for their support and wonderful care of their mother.

ALESBURY, Robert Johnson Robert Johnson Alesbury, MD, of Mashee, MA and formerly of Utica, NY, died on June 4, 1998, at Falmouth Hospital. Dr. Alesbury was born in Summit, NJ and was a graduate of the Peddie School of Hightstown, NJ.

He graduated from Dartmouth College in 1943 and the Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Alesbury served in the U.S. Navy during the Second World War. Following the war, he practiced obstetrics and gynecology in Philadelphia.

In 1955, he and his family moved to Manchester Connecticut, where he established a private practice in affiliation with Manchester Memorial Hospital. In 1973, Dr. Alesbury moved to Clinton, NY joining the Slocum-Dickson Medical Group of Utica, where he continued to practice medicine until his retirement. In 1986, he moved to Yarmouthport, on Cape Cod, which he loved. He was predeceased by his wife of 26 years, Nancy (Bantly) Dimock Alesbury.

He is survived by six children, Nancy Bradley of Wellesley, MA, Susan Kimberly of Vestavia Hills, AL, Robert Alesbury of Washington, DC, William Alesbury of Acton, MA, Dana Dimock of Newark, DE, Patricia Heitmeyer of Waterbury. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren. He was born in New York, NY, July 1, 1915, son of the late John B. and Katherine (King) Donnelly. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy M.

(Corey) Donnelly who died in April 1989. Mr. Donnelly was a self employed Healthcare Facility Director, having owned and operated the Donnelly Home for Adults for many years and retired in 1976. Mr. Donnelly was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran.
