and Mrs. James Meg-gat, and Samuel Adams Griswold, were married in Trtnity Church at 7 o'clock last night, by Rev. Henry S. Harte. The church was decorated with palms, ferns and flowers, the color scheme being pink and white.

Miss Edna Harte played the organ. The bride wore a gown of white crepe meteor trimmed with chantilly lace and wore a veil caught with orange blossoms and carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and white roses. The maid of honor was Miss Dorothy Wilcox and she wore a dress of pink tulle and pink chiffon taffeta. The bridesmaids were Miss Eunice Strong, cousin of the bride. Miss Ruth Ballings of Hartford, Miss Helen Raymond and Miss Anna Story.

They wore dresses of white net with accordion pleated skirts and lace waists with pink silk tunics. Both the maid of honor and bridesmaids wore shepherdess hats of white chip trimmed with pink roses and tulle and carried nam. Electric Lichts. Tel 19M M. Bielchner.

the land offer objection, and no bridge was to be built A representative of Barney, the aviator, was present, and explained at length his plans for a Thompsonville Merchants' Day to be held on July 14. Barney would make four flights on that day for $200. The townspeople were expected to subscribe that sum, and in return the merchants were expected to receive their returns from the increased sales of the day of the flight. The project was discussed in an informal vay for sometime, and George S. Phelps said that arrangements were being made by tho business men of Windsor Locks for a flight on July 15.

A new amusement resort is to be established at state line, and the company is capitalized at $50,000, in shares of par value of $25 each. Joel Marceau is the owner of State Line Orove, and he, with Walter K. Thayer Springfield, have formed an amusement company, and they are in hopes that by next season the grounds will be transformed into a largo amusement park and that the venture will be successful.

Mary H. Gantley has transferred some adjoining land to them. Donato Guippo, who runs a saloon in the old Globe Hotel building, near the railroad passenger depot, has applied for a transfer for a location at No. 5 Whit worth 1 street. The present stand has been occupied as a saloon for many years, but the march of industrial progress has made the location almost valueless.

The hearing on the transfer will take place in Hartford on July 10 at 10 a. at the county commissioners' office. The first county convention has been held, and Charles J. Fancher of this place, has been nominated for sheriff by the prohibition party. Dr.
