Berardino, 65, of High Street, Coventry, passed away Friday (Nov. 8) at Manchester' Memorial Hospital, Manchester. He was the of the late Margaret (Dibbell) Berardino. Born in Yonkers, N.Y., April 16, 1926, he lived also in Irvington, N.Y., before moving to Coventry three years ago. He owned a parcel delivery service before his retirement in 1986.

He was a graduate of Parson's School of Design. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War and Korea. He was a member of St. Mary's Fifty and Over Club, the Coventry VFW, Boy Coventry Scouts of Senior America, Citizens, and the was active in St.

Mary's Youth Group. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William and Allison Berardino of Irvington, N. and a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela Berardino and Joseph Rheubeck of Coventry; a grandson, William Anthony Berardino of Irvington, N. CLIFFORD. Alice (Harris) Clifford, 74, of 436 Mill Stream Drive, Vernon, wife of Ralph M. Clifford, to whom she was married' for 52 years, died Friday (Nov. 8, 1991) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Born in Troy, N.Y., March 16, 1917, she had been a resident in the Vernon, Manchester, and South Windsor areas for over 50 years.

Mrs. Clifford was a member of the South United Methodist Church of Manchester, the Order of the Star, the National A.A.R.P., and the Rockville Senior Citizens. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Judith Burnham of Torrance, and Sandra C. Lewy of Mayfield, N. sister, Catherine Ingraham of Southwick, six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Alan M. Goldberg, husband of Mimi (Bachrach) Goldberg, 22 Windmill Drive, Granby, formerly of West Hartford, died Friday (Nov. 8) at home. He began his career as comptroller of Martin's Department Store in Brooklyn, N. and was a merchandising manager of Peerless Co.

in Providence and Pawtucket, R.I. He later worked for Brown Thompson Co. as vice president and for Fabrics Internafional. During the heights his career some of his merchandising ideas were written in Women's Wear Daily. Mr.

Goldberg was a member of Our Town Our Planet in Granby, the Bloomfield Senior Citizens and Chaverim and a was past member of the Connecticut Writer's Club. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Ronie and her husband, Richard Schotter, Hasting on Hudson, N.Y., Wendy Goldberg and Noah Hammond, Fairfax, Iris and her husband, Allen DeMello, Oakland, Calif; two brothers, Jack Goldberg, Flushing Meadows, N.Y., Dr. Philip Goldberg, New York, N.Y.; and a grandson, Jessie Schotter. 7) at Hartford Hospital. was the husband of Rose (Marks) Grant. Born July 12, 1917, in New Hartford, he was the son of the late John William and Louise (Shepard) Grant. He grew up in New Hartford and attended local schools. In 1947 he moved to Pleasant Valley where he and his wife owned and operated the General Store for about 10 years.

From 1956 until retirement, he was an agricultural chemical salesman. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church of New Hartford and a past member of the Barkhamsted Board of Finance. He was a member of the finance committee of the Boy Scouts of America and the Barkhamsted Historical Society, and one of the founders of the Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Dept. He was also appointed the Civil Defense Director during the 1955 Flood, was appointed to the Barkhamsted Jury Selection Committee in 1947, and was made chairman in 1972 until his death. also was a charter member of the Barkhamsted Lion's Club.

Besides his wife Rose, Mr. Grant leaves two sons, John William Grant Ill, of Winsted and Michael M. Grant of Pelham, N.H.; a brother, Mr. James Grant of New Hartford; three sisters, Ms. Ethel Grant of New Hartford, Mrs.

Betty Onidi of Farmington and Mrs. Joan Zeitler New Hartford; and five grandsons. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Grant of New Hartford. Born in Lynn, Mass, Mr. Holt was a decorated Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Before his retirement in 1985, he was employed by Healthtex Inc. a sales representative for 27 years. His wife of 29 years Shirley (Cleaver) Holt, predeceased him in 1981.

Lagasse 70, of Alexandria, a retired 29 year veteran of military service, who served in the Connecticut Army National Guard for 25 of those years, died suddenly Monday (Oct. 21) at his home in Alexandria, Va. Mr. Lagasse entered the U.S. Army as an enlisted man in 1940, entered Officers Candidate School as an aviation cadet, was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in in the U.S.

Army Air Force. As a B-24 bombardier during World War. I1, his airplane shot down over Hungary. He was a prisoner of war for a year until 1945. Shortly after his release he was promoted to First Lieutenant.

Following the war, he joined the Connecticut Army National Guard and served as a fulltime civil service employee. During his years service, he was the administrative officer for the 43rd Division Headquarters, Hartford, and the Guard's senior personnel officer. He is most remembered for his coordination of a major reduction in force within Connecticut Guard which eliminated 192 fulltime positions, while ensuring that each individual had the opportunity for continued employment elsewhere in the Guard. Upon retiring from military service in 1971, he joined the National Guard Bureau, Washington, D.C., as a civilian equal employment officer until his retirement from the bureau in 1978. His military decorations include the Medal of Merit, Air Medal, Good Conduct Medal, European Theater Medal with battle stars, American Defense Medal, World War II Victory Medal, and Prisoner of War Medal.

Born in Bristol, Jan. 23, 1921, Lagasse is survived by his wife, Carol; his mother, Maude Lagasse of Bristol; daughter, Linda Ferris of Stamford; two sons, Harvey J. of Amissville, and Mark Connecticut National Guard, East Hartford; two brothers, Eugene Chester, and Robert J. of Bristol; several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. The funeral was Friday, Oct.

He retired from G.Fox Hartford, after several years service. He was a World War U.S. Army veteran. RACZEK. Joseph A. Raczek, 74, of New Britain, died Friday (Nov. 8) at New Britain General Hospital. Born in New Britain, he was a life long resident, and attended local schools.

Mr. Raczek was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army. He was employed by the Fafnir Bearing Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1979.
