Munsell, 70, of 41 Breezy Hill Road, Harwinton, husband of Ida (Coe) Munsell, died Tuesday (March 19), at his home. Born In Hartford, son of Madeline (Brimbie) Munsell of Harwinton and the late Frederick M. Munsell.

He lived In Windsor. TANGUAY. Roger Tanguay, 53, off Grenada Hill, formerly 'Of East Hartford, husband of Nancy -Tanguay, died March 19, 1991, in Grenada Hill, Calif. He was born In Fall River, son of the lately, Rita (Patno) Tanguay, and J. Lea: Tanguay of 71 Concord East Hartford.

and Anna A. (Driscoll) Lowell, he had lived In Middletown since 1953. Mr. Lowell was the owner of Connecticut Valley Contracting for 25 years, which went out of business in 1972, and he then worked for various other construction companies until his retirement In 1985. He was also a member of the Iron Workers Union Local 15.

Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Daniel Lowell of Hebron, Frederick K. Lowell of Southington, and Thomas C. Lowell of Klllingworth; a daughter, Carrie Anne Somerville of Manchester; a brother, Douglas Lowell of New Milford; a sister, Dorothy Kepler of Thousand Oaks, and nine grandchildren. Memorial service will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Doollttle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Middletown. Interment will be at at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions, In his memory, may be made to the Weiss Hospice Unit, co Development Office, 55 Crescent Middletown 06457. MINER. Arnold E. "Coon" Miner, 62, of 76 South Road, Ellington, died Tuesday (March 19, 1991) at Rockvllle General Hospital.

He was born In Colrain, educated in the local schools, and moved to Ellington 40 years ago. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War ll. He was a retired plumber for Gibbs Plumbing and Heating Hartford, and Burlington Plumbing and Heating Ellington. He was a member of American Legion Post No.

14, Polish-American Club, the Cisco Club, the Italian Club, the Moose Club, the American-Italian Friendship Club, all of Rockvllle, and the Italian Benefit Society, Stafford Springs. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evangeline (Ne-belskl) Miner; two sons, Thomas O. Miner, both of Ellington, and Bruce A. Miner of California; a daughter, Susan A.

Miner of Rockvllle; two stepsons, Jerry E. Ballou of North Carolina, and Arnold S. Ballou of North Pomfret, two stepdaughters, Pauline Darling of Windsor, and Gloria H. Ballou of Brattleboro, 15 grandchildren; great-grandson; a brother, Philip L. Miner of Turners Falls, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a son, Gary E. Miner, who died in 1976. Funeral service will be Saturday, 11 a.m., at Introvlgne Funeral Home, 51 E. Main Stafford Springs, with Rev. John White officiating.

"Fritz" Minicucci, 81, of 71 Ambassador Drive, Manchester, died Tuesday (March 19) in Port St. Lucie, Fla. He was the husband of Anne (Ca-vagnaro) Minicucci. Born in Manchester, he had lived here for most of his life. From 1946 to 1976, when he retired, he was the part owner of Cavey's Restaurant, Manchester.

He was a World War II veteran, having served in both the U.S. Merchant Marines and the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Rockvllle Lodge of Elks. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Patricia Minicucci of Lake Forest, Linda Minicucci of Vernon, and Anne Minicucci of Bristol; and two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Bonadies, and Mrs.

Mary Pasqualini, both of Manchester. Funeral service will be Saturday, 8:15 a.m., from the John F. Tier-ney Funeral Home, 219 W. Center Manchester, followed by a mass, 9 a.m., at St. James Church, Manchester.

OLEWNIK. Carol A. Olewnik, of Cor-bfn New Britain, died Wednesday (March 20) at Hartford Hospital. She was born in Hartford, daughter of Dorothy (McDermott) Olewnik and the graduating from John Fitch High School in 1939. He lived In the SimsburyGranby area for many years, moving to Harwinton 24 years ago.

He was a World War U.S. Navy veteran, and for most of his life, he was a salesman and was self-employed. He was a member and former Sunday School teacher at the First United Methodist Church, Torrlngton. He was a long time member and former chaplin of Washington Lodge No. 70 A.F.

A.M. of Windsor, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Hartford and the Connecticut Consistory of Norwich, the Sphinx Temple AAONMS of Newington, and was on the public relations committee and special representative for Northwestern Connecticut for the Shriner's Chlldrens Hospital. Besides his wife and mother, he leaves a brother, Robert E. Munsell of Dennisport, a sister, Edith M. Reynolds of North Granby; several nieces; and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, 7:30 p.m., in the chapel of the Car-mon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor with the Rev. Kenneth Rodgers officiating and a masonic service conducted by Washington Lodge No. 70. Burial will be In Pallsado Cemetery, Windsor at the convenience of the family. His family will receive friends prior to the service Friday, p.m.

He was a mechanical engi neer for Pratt Whitney Division of United Technologies. He leaves his mother, Mrs. Eva Pinto of Warren, and was the beloved husband of Gloria E. (King) Pinto; three daughters, Mrs. Delia Fazekas, Mrs.

Gina Pinto, and Mrs. Candida Pinto, all of New Britain; two sons, Mr. Craig Chl-coine of Westf ield, and Andre D. Chicoine Jr. of San Diego, a brother, Mr.

Ralph Pinto of Sedona, two sisters, Mrs. Carol Sears of Dearborn, and Mrs. Kathy Bogues of Attica, and two grandchildren, Emalie Fazekas, and Andre D. Chicoine III. Funeral service will be today, 10 a.m., at the Gilead Congregational Church, with the Rev.

Eltidio Ramos, 34, of Hartford, died Tuesday (March 19), Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he is survived by his wife, Monica (Lopez) Ramos; three sons, Hector, Eltidio, and Edwin, all of Hartford; his parents, Eltidio and Carmen (Morales) Ramos of Juncos, Puerto Rico; and a brother, Edwin of New York City. SANDALO. Gerard Otto Sandalo, 88, of West Hartford, widower of Helen (Carlson) Sandalo, died Wednesday (March 20) at a local convalescent home. He was born in West Hartford, and was a lifelong resident. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Royal Typewriter for 50 years as a Methods Engineer. He was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hartford.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and John August of West Hartford; a daughter, Margaret Zacharia-sen of Farmington; and two grandchildren, Mark O. Zacharia-sen, and Carolyn and her husband, Charles, De Zutter. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m., in the chapel of the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Hartford, with the Rev. Dr. John H.

William C. Silver, 78, formerly of 158 Terryville Bristol, and husband of Belle (Lip-man) Silver, died Wednesday (March 20) at Bristol Hospital. Mr. Silver was born in Stamford, on July 10, 1912, and was the son of the late Jacob and Rose (Cohen) Silver. He had been a Bristol resident since 1940.

He retired in 1985 as chairman of Elco Beverage the former Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Bristol, begun as a family operation in 1934 by Jacob Silver and his sons. He was president of the Connecticut Soft Drink Association, and vice president and committee member of the Northeast Division of Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Association. He was a member of the Bristol Rotary Club, Bristol Boys Club, the Bristol Boys Club Association which honored him with the 1988 Humanitarian Award, Franklin Lodge No. 56 AF AM, and Chippanee Country Club.

A past president of the Beth Israel Synagogue, he also served as president of the Connecticut Zionists of America, and vice president of the National Zionists of America. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Aaron, and Paul Silver of Bristol, and Stephen Silver of Watertown; a daughter, Harriet Levin of Middletown; a brother. guay. She is survived by a son, former Probate Judge Edward J. She was born In New Britain, and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, the Ladies Guild of St. Francis, the first female minister of the Eucharist at St. Francis, New Britain Women's Club, the Catholic Daughters, the New Britain Council of Catholic Women, a member of AARP, the New Britain Senior Center, member of Beta Mu Sorority at New Britain High School, a poll moderator on election days for 20 years, and active in several civic organizations.

She is survived by her husband, Michael E. LaRose; two sons. Rev. Edward M. LaRose, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton, and M.

Peter LaRose of Needham, a daughter, Mrs. Mary Kathryn Cugno of Kensington; and a grandson. Funeral service will be Friday, 10:30 a.m., from the Farrell Funeral Home, with a mass, 11:30 a.m., at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will be in St.

Petronella P. Lucas, 83, of 45 Jackson Windsor Locks, died Wednesday (March 20, 1991) at home. She was the widow of Joseph Lukas, who died in 1972, and Peter Luke who died In 1946. A longtime resident of New Britain, she had moved to Windsor Locks four years ago. She Is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Hope Luke, with whom she made her home In Windsor Locks; three grandchildren, Jill Mador of Windsor Locks, Peter Luke of Suffleld, Wendy Sanford of Exeter, R.I.; and six greatgrandchildren.

She was born in Hartford, Sept. 11, 1889, daughter of the late August and Charlotte Ericson, and was a resident of Glastonbury for eight years, having formerly lived in West Hartford for many years. She was the director of Public Welfare for the Town of West Hartford, from 1936 until 1939. She was a member of the South Congregational Church, Hartford, and was a former member of the Board of Directors at Avery Heights, Hartford. She is survived by a son, Roy L.

GVARA. Mary "Vaggie" (Dlugo-lenski) Gvara, 70, of 83 West Windsor Locks, widow of Joseph Gvara, died Wednesday (March 20) at Mount Sinai Hospital. She was born in New Britain, and formerly lived in Poquonock before moving to Windsor Locks 14 years ago. She had worked and been a part of the Roncari Family for the past 26 years. She also had been employed by Pratt Whitney for 28 years before her retirement.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, and with her friends occasionally attended Im-manuel Baptist Church, Suffleld. She is survived by a son, Michael Gvara of Costa Mesa, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Walter and Geraldine Dlugolenski of Meriden, and Edward and Ann Dlugolenski of Cromwell; two John Gvara of Cos-a Mesa, and Shannon Gvara of Texas; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Gvara; a daughter, Anita Gvara; and four brothers, John, Joseph, Stanley Dlugolenski, and Anthony Dlugolenski, who was killed in Normandy. HANSEN. Elizabeth A. Hansen, 69, of Yarmouth, Maine, and former longtime resident of Manchester, died Wednesday (March 20, 1991) in a Portland, Maine, hospital. She was the widow of Clifford E. Hansen, who died November 1987.

Mrs. Hansen was born Dec. 22, 1921, In Shanghai, China, daughter of the late Glenn T. and Ethel (Ivey) Armstrong. She was a resident of Sharon, and Brooklyn, N.Y., lived in Manchester for over 40 years, and recently moved to Yarmouth, Maine.

A graduate of Erasmus Hall High School, she attended Brooklyn College, and Hef ley Busi ness School, all of New York. In New York, Mrs. Hansen worked at Standard Brands, and Curtis Publishing and in Connecticut at the Pratt Whitney Aircraft Clifford E. Hansen Insurance and Real Estate, and the U.S. District Court in Hartford, retiring in 1985 as a deputy clerk.

She was an active member of the Second Congregational Church, Manchester, and the Strickland-Borst-Tozer Group as well as serving as secretary of the Church Council, and the Religious Education Board. She was a past member of the Republican Town Committee, and she enjoyed playing bridge as well as traveling with the local chapter of the A.A.R.P. She is survived by three sons, Bruce A. Hansen of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Douglas M. Hansen of Portland, Maine, and David S.

Hansen of Cocoa Beach, a daughter, Janet H. Zebrowski of Yarmouth, Maine; and two sisters, Janet M. Armstrong of Chicago, and Ruth Van Meter of Minnetonka, Minn. Funeral service will be Friday, 2:30 p.m., at the Second Congregational Church, 385 N. Main Manchester.

He had lived In the Hartford area from his youth until his retirement from his law practice in 1972, when he relocated to Florida. He attended grade school in Hartford, graduated from Hartford Public High School, and obtained his law degree from New York University.

In 1925 he formed a partnership, with the late Milton Nahum, in the practice of law In Hartford known as Apter Na-. hum. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice (Rosenblatt) Apter; his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Barbara Apter of 1651 S.W. 53rd Plantation and three grandchildren, Andrea Apter, Scott Peter Apter, and Tanya Michele Apter. Burial will be in Davie, Fla.

COHEN. David B. Cohen, a Derby lawyer for 55 years, died Tuesday night (March 19) in Boca Raton, Fla. A resident of 181 Apache Lane, Stratford, Atty. Cohen was born in Derby on April 18, 1913, the son of the late Meyer and Jennie Cohen, and lived in Derby all of his life, until moving to Stratford several years ago.

He was a graduate of Derby High School, Class of 1929, the University of Pittsburgh, and Boston University Law School, and admitted to the Connecticut Bar and entered practice of law in Derby in 1936, founded the law firm originally known as Cohen, Finn Sylvester, now known as Cohen, Micci, Thomas and Stamos, in 1958. He was a clerk of the Connecticut State Senate, 1941-42. He entered the U.S. Army as a Private in 1942; served in the European Theater of Operations with the First Army, received five Battle Stars and was awarded the Croix de Guerre Medal by the Republic of France; discharged as a Captain in 1946. He was a corporation Counsel of the City of Derby 1948-54), a judge of the City Court of Derby for six years, Chief Prosecuting Attorney of the former Fifth Circuit Court, Ansonia (1960-71).

He was past president of the Valley Bar a member of the Committee on Professional Ethics for the State of Connecticut Bar Assn. for 32 years, a founder of the Cochran Psychiatric Clinic at Griffin Hospital in 1957, a member of the Board of Trustees at Griffin Hospital for 22 years, and was the President of the Hospital in 1978-79, a member of the Board of Directors of the Naugatuck Valley Mental Health Council, and a past president of the Visiting Nurses Assri. of the Valley. He was pre-', sented with the Gold Seal Award for his service to the community by the Valley Chamber of Com- merce in 1986. After retiring from active practice, he served as a State Trial Referee for the State of Connecticut by appointment of I the Chief Justice of the State Su- preme Court until the time of death.
