EAST HARTFORD Edgar Watroui. roller skating pro of the Palace Figure and Dance Club of Skating Palace East, East Hartford, has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the North Eastern Chapter Association. Watrous, who began roller skating at 9. was 1965 world free style champion and five times was named U.S. champion.

He has been teaching since 1973 and presently also heads the speed team, the Chargers, at Skating Palace East. He will be honored at the association's 19th annual awards dinner April 5 in Swansea. Mass. Tickets for the event are available at Skating Palace East. WILLIMANTIC Eric Byrove put in a rebound with only six seconds to play in overtime Sunday to give the outh 77-75 victory over the North in the annual Willimantic YMCA Junior Basketball League All-Star Game.

Reuben Madera was high scorer for the winners with 25; James Hunter led the North with 24. Co. 11 19 EAST HARTFORD Mary Anne Bojko, a Penney High School senior, has been recognized in a Town Council resolution for being the first member of the girls basketball team to score 1,000 points in her career. Bojko lead her team to an undefeated season while averaging 18.8 points per game.

She had a career high of 31 points in one game. Bojko was named to the first tean in the Central Connecticut Interscholastic League in her soptiomore and junior years. She also has attained general honors in her studies. The resolution, endorsed by the council and Mayor George A. Dfl'gon.

says her many achievements "are testimony to her extraordinary performance" and "she has set an unmatched example for others to follow in scholastic sports." Mike McDer-mott led the offense with four goals.

Robbie Gagnon added two with Jeff House, T.R. Shuttleworth and Robbie Corcoran adding single scores. Mark Cherwinski was in goal throughout as South Windsor swept through the five-game set undefeated. The opening game was a 5-3 victory over the same Yale sextet with McDermott scoring a three-goal hat trick and Shuttleworth and Brian Murray also scoring. The second bround brought a 5-1 victory over Enfield with McDermott adding his second hat trick along with scores by Gagnon and House.

Noahj Borrero took over 'the scoring burden eith a hat trick in a 6-1 quarterfinals victory over Southern Connecticut. Gagnon scored twice and Kevin Malloy added the final goal. South Windsor gained the finals with a 6-2 victory over West Haven. McDermott and Gagnon each scored twice; Shuttleworth and Borrero added singles. During the competition the defense was anchored by Cherwinski, Tim Huk, Mike Weis, Adam Jacoby, Brenan Chase and Murray.
