P. MEAGHER, Richard J. Mary E. (Noonan) Leo, 91, of Hartford, widow of Robert T. Leo, passed away peacefully, Friday, Dr.

Michael M. P. Magaudda, 86, of Pine Point, Scarborough and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, passed away of kidney and heart failure Thursday evening on Inez Adelaide (Nosworthy) Hitchcock, 82, of Ca-naan, died Thursday, i (March 22, 2007) after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late C. Frank Hitchcock.

Born in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of Arthur and Nellie (Hawkins) Nosworthy, she was raised in Garden City, NY, and moved to Canaan in 1940. A graduate of Housatonic Valley Regional High School, she attended Colby-Sawyer College (then Colby Junior College), from which she graduated in 1944. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she served for several years as a volunteer member of the Sharon Hospital Ball Committee, and at the time of her death was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and The National Society Colonial Dames XVII Century, a patriotic, genealogical and heraldic society of women who trace their ancestors in this country to the Founders who settled the thirteen original col onies before 1701. She is survived by her four children, Cornish F. Hitchcock of Rockville, MD, Elizabeth Hitchcock of Lake Bluff, IL, Timothy A.

Hitchcock of East Canaan, and Martin F. Hitchcock of Canaan, as well as her seven grandchildren. Newkirk-Palmer Funeral Home, 118 Main Street in Canaan, will be in charge of arrangements. The funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28 at St.

Joseph's Church in Canaan. There are no calling hours. HOLDEN, James Hale James Hale Holden, 80, died John J. Dugan, 59, of Stafford Springs, beloved husband of 37 years to Lorraine Dugan, passed away with his loving family by his side on Friday, (March 23, 2007) at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs.

He was born in Woonsocket, Rl, son of the late Joseph and Doris (Guilbeault) Dugan. He attended Rhode Island Radio and Electronics in Providence, Rl, and was employed by Ratheon Data Systems for many years before becoming owner of Dugan's Yogurt More in Stafford Springs. He also attended the Connecticut Culinary School and became a dietary manager before retiring. He enjoyed camping and hiking with his family and took great pride with his garden. He was also an avid sports fan.

Besides his wife, John is survived by his daughter, Lori A. Brien and her husband, Peter of Arlington, VA; three sons, Patrick Dugan of Stafford Springs, Jeffrey Dugan and his wife, Amanda of Stafford Springs, and Michael Dugan of Manchester; five grandchildren, Matthew, Brianna, and Jacob Dugan, and Patrick and Daniel Brien. He also leaves two brothers, Richard Dugan of New York City, and Michael Dugan and his wife. Carmen of Texas; a sister-in-law, Suzanne Normandin and her husband, John of Belling-ham, MA; a brother-in-law, Robert Goulet of Woonsocket, Rl; several nieces and nephews; and his companion, Toby, his grand-dog. A funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 27 with a procession forming at 10 a.m.

at Intro-vigne Funeral Home, 51 East Main Stafford Springs, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Edward Church, High Stafford Springs. Burial will follow in St. Edward Cemetery, Stafford Springs.

Dr. Magaudda was born in Boston, MA on January 25, 1921 the eldest son of John and Pauline Vasta Magaudda. He was educated in Boston Elementary Schools and then went to Italy where he completed his education and obtained his medical degree. He graduated from the Medical School in Rome and did surgical training at the University of Messina, Italy. He returned to the United States in 1952 where he completed his surgical training and residency at both the New-ton-Wellesley Hospital and the Quincy City Hospital.

Dr. Magaudda moved to Maine in 1956 where he first practiced at Mercy Hospital in Portland before joining the surgical staff at Southern Maine Medical Center in Bidde-ford. He was on the surgical staff at S.M.M.C. for 44 years and had a private practice in Old Orchard Beach. He used to delight his home bound patients when he made house calls on his Italian red scooter with his medical bag strapped on the back of his scooter.

Dr. Magaudda received numerous awards during his years of medical service and received his gold 50 year service pin from the American Medical Association in Bar Harbor in May of 2001 He retired from active practice in 2001 but continued his duties as a State Medical Examiner for Maine, until his recent death. His was predeceased by one sister Mary Bessette. Dr. Magaudda is survived by his wife of 34 years Patricia Anne Petrillo two daughters, Gina Magaudda of Fairfield, Michelle Magaudda Phelan and son-in-law, John of Fairfield.

He will be sadly missed by his two beloved granddaughters, Avery and Adele Phelan; one brother, John Magaudda of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Adele Schaefer of Pocassett, Ann Marella and her husband Andrew of South Weymouth, MA; several nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday from Cote Funeral Home, corner of Beach and James Saco. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday from St.

Margaret's Church in Old Orchard Beach. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in Southington on Thursday, March 29. Arrangements are by Cote Funeral Home, Saco. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Born in New York City, son of the late Anthony and Catherine Ferrari, he lived in Windsor Locks most of his life before moving to Suffield two years ago.

He had been employed at Pratt Whitney for 35 years retiring 32 years ago. Pap was an avid golfer, bowler and Red Sox fan. Besides his wife, Minnie, he is survived by two sons, Lawrence J. Ferrari of Windsor Locks and State Representative Richard F. Ferrari and his wife, Linda A.

of East Granby; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Relatives and friends will gather Tuesday from a.m. at the Windsor Looks Funeral Home 441 Spring Windsor Locks with a procession at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary Church, Windsor Locks for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.

Rose was a former resident of Windsor Locks and worked at The Travelers Insurance Company. She was predeceased by her husband William Garland. Born in Almshorn, Germany, she lived in Queens, NY until moving to New Britain in 1 958. Dora was employed as a Seamstress in New York for many years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Britain and a member of the Ladies Aid at the church.

Surviving is a daughter, Hilda Stifel of Southington; five grandchildren, Joseph Gspandl, Susan Winkler and her husband James, Laura Gold and her husband Dan, John Stifel and his wife Jessica, and Andrew Stifel and his fiancee Christine Marcin; and eight great grandchildren. Besides her husband Henry, she was predeceased by a son, Guenther Gspandl. Funeral services will be held Monday 6 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. GRUNDT, Albert H. Albert H. Grundt, 89, of Bloom- (March, 23, 2007) at Douglas Manor in Windham. Born in Saint Agathe, Quebec, Canada, daughter of the late James M. and Catherine A.

(McGuire) Noonan, she resided in Hartford for many years. Mary was a graduate of the Sherbrooke School of Nursing in Quebec, Canada, Class of 1938. She was a United States Army veteran of World War II, having served as a Lieutenant in the Army Nurse in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre of Operations. Mary met her husband, Robert while both serving with the Armed Forces in New Guinea. Prior to retiring, she was a Nurse at Manchester Hospital in Manchester for many years.

She was a longtime communicant at the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. She is survived by her son, Robert T. Noonan, of Manchester; her daughter, Noreen Swanson and her husband. Skip of Coventry; two grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her three sisters, Gertrude Noonan, Alice N. Seeley and Helena Dutelle and her three brothers Albert, Earl, and Raymond Noonan. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, March 29 at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral of St. Joseph Hartford, followed by burial with full military honors in St.

LIEBERMAN, Anita (Cohen) Anita (Cohen) Lieberman, 79, of Highland Street, West Hartford, formerly of Bloomfield, died Wednesday, (March 21, 2007). She was the widow of Louis A.

Lieberman. Born in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Philip M. and Lillian (Friedman) Cohen. Mrs. Lieberman was a voracious reader and lover of the English language.

She volunteered in the Bloomfield Elementary Schools for many years, sharing her passion with hundreds of students. She was a charter member of Beth Hillel Synagogue of Bloomfield. She leaves two sons, John D. Lieberman and his wife, Lisa of Huntington Woods, Ml and Andrew S. Lieberman and his wife, Lauren of Weatogue; a daughter, Kate Foryan of South Carolina; four grandchildren whom she adored, Deanna, Nicole and Sam Lieberman and Jason Foryan; two brothers, Alan J.

Cohen of Phoenix, AZ, and Myron Cohen and his wife, Inez of Jewett City; and a dear sister-in-law, Toby Lieberman of New London. He worked for 20 years as a sales representative for Uniroyal in Massachusetts. He was an avid out-doorsman who enjoyed camping, boating and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary Lyon; two daughters, Christine Noble of Dunedin, FL and Mary Elizabeth Holden of Bloomfield; many nieces and nephews and two granddaughters, Jessica Beth Noble and Chelsea Noble, both of Florida. KURLAND, Sandra G. (Rottner) Sandra G. (Rottner) Kurland died peacefully Wednesday, (March 20, 2007) at her home. She was a graduate of Weaver High School in Hartford, and the University of Connecticut.

After retiring from her career as a Social Worker, she continued for years as a substitute teacher in Hartford and surrounding towns. She leaves her Mother, Edith L. Rottner; her sister, G. Sue Price, both of Jupiter, FL, and her brother, Leslie Rottner of Bloomfield. There are no calling hours.

LaMOTHE, Maurice 0. "Moe" Maurice O. "Moe" LaMothe, Richard J. Meagher, 55, of Williams, AZ, died Monday, (February 5, 2007) at his home. Born in Salem, MA, son of Robert J.

and Marjorie F. (Hockenhull) Meagher of Vernon, he lived in Peabody and Danvers, MA and Vernon before moving to Arizona 25 years ago. He was a graduate of Danvers High School and Manchester Community College, Manchester. Prior to his retirement in 2002, the Harvey Company employed Richard for over 25 years and before his retirement, he was the head cook at their Bright Angel Lodge in Grand Canyon, AZ. After his retirement, Richard purchased a small ranch in Williams, AZ.

He was passionate about cooking and he loved the outdoors. Besides his parents, Richard is survived by two brothers, Thomas Meagher of Whitefish, MT and William Meagher of Granby; a sister, Carol Klusek of Woodstock and two nieces and a nephew. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 28, 1 1 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, Union Street, Rockville.

and Helen (Marcil) Geetersloh and was raised in East Hartford, where she attended local schools. Mrs. Nolin was a supervisor in the Registrar's Office at the University of Hartford for 18 years prior to her retirement in 1984. Helen loved music and sang with various choirs including the Greater Hartford Community Chorus and more recently the Intonations of Simsbury. She is survived by her daughter, Judith Bontempo of South Windsor; her son, Charles W.

Nolin of West Hartford; six grandchildren. Amy B. Veilleux, Daniel and Michael Bontempo, Matthew, Kathleen and Molly Nolin; three great grandchildren, Caitlin, Michael and Gracie and her beloved companion, Benjamin Rogers. PELLECCHIA, Martha Martha Pellecchia, 73, of Geer Danielson, died on Friday, (March 23, 2007) at the University of Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Worcester. She was the wife of Joseph J. Pellecchia, who survives her. They were married on Jan.

10, 1953 at Immaculate Conception Church in Southington. Martha was born in Water-bury on April 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph and Genevieve (Murawsky) Luty. Her father was a former First Selectman of Southington. Martha was the middle child of three girlsand grew up on her parents' dairy farm in Southington. Martha was an enthusiastic dairy farmer.

Her love of the farm life led her, and her husband, to buy their dairy farm in Killingly in 1971. As a youth, Martha attended Southington schools and Southington High School. She then attended Hartford Institute of Accounting and was the first woman to graduate from that institution. After her marriage, she worked for many years in the Southing-tonMeriden area, contributing her highly valued expertise in financial aspects, as President of Community Home Health Care, member of the Board of Directors of Bradley Memorial Hospital, Treasurer of Mason Manufacturing, Treasurer and first woman executive of Gould and Eberhart and former owner of DSM Mechanical in Dayville. Additionally, she belonged to various community and professional organizations and taught religious education at Saint James Church in Danielson.

She was a communicant of St. James Church. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Joseph J. Pellecchia and his wife, Joanne of Trumbull, and Thomas M. Pellecchia of Thompson; four daughters, Nancy Pellecchia-Ma-ciag and her husband, Peter of Rockledge, FL, Roseanne Besse-naire and her husband, Raymond of Melbourne, FL, Audrey Giam-battista and her husband, Alan of Dayville, and Martha Marie Hick-ernell and her husband, Dustin of Fleetwood, N.C.; two sisters, Barbara Patla and Linda Valencis, both of Southington; seventeen grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Anthony Pellecchia, a daughter, Marjorie Pellecchia, a daughter-in-law, Jody Pellecchia; and two grandchildren. Amy Giambattista and Andrew Giambattista. Mongon, Windsor, beloved husband of the late Helen (Reber) Mongon, passed field, died Friday, (March 23, 2007) at St. Francis Hospital. He was 96. Max Mothe, died on Friday (March 23, 2007) at Bristol 1910 was born on December 25, field, beloved husband of Audrey (London) Grundt passed away Fri North Whitney Street in Hartford and was the son of the late Lucius P. and Mary (Denison) Fuller.

He attended Hall High School and graduated in the class of 1934 from Phillips Exeter Academy. He was a 1938 graduate of Yale University. He played in the Yale band. After graduation from Yale, he attended Trinity College. During World War II Mr.

Fuller served in the U.S. Army. He attended Counter Intelligence Corps Advanced Training School, Criminal Investigators School, Atlanta, GA, and attained rank of Master Sergeant at Fort McClel-lan, AL. He was awarded the American Defense Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and World War II Victory Medal. He was President of The Manufacturer's Association of Hartford County.

He loved spending time at the Connecticut shore, fishing and blue-crabbing. He taught his daughter the fine art of boning blue crabs at an early age and his grandsons how to shore up a jetty early on as well. Later, they enjoyed annual trips to winterize or summarize the classic Monte Carlo together. His love of jazz was enhanced listening to his granddaughter play the trombone, string bass and electric bass. He is survived by his daughter Allison Evans (Sally Fuller) with George M.

Jones; four grandchildren, Lindsey Joyce Evans Okeson, Timothy Luke Evans, Jeffrey Fuller Evans, and Amanda Saferin, and Michael Alfred Evans; and three great-grandsons. Chase Denison Okeson, Zachary Dylan Okeson and Brendon Dean Okeson; as well as a son-in-law, William Dean Okeson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Harriet Tillinghast Fuller; four nieces, Diane Fuller and her husband Thomas Ken-neally, Nancy Fuller and James Buijnarowski, and Mary-Louise and John Bode and Elizabeth Fuller Booth and a nephew, Peter Denison Fuller. He was predeceased by his two brothers, John Bliss Fuller, and Denison Chase Fuller; and his sister-in-law, Suzanne K. Stumpf Fuller.

away on Thursday, (March 22, 2007) at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home. Born on October 12, 1920 in Westfield, MA, he was the son of the late Bruno and Nellie (Hays) Mongon. George was a veteran of the United States Navy sub-service in the Pacific and during the Korean War sub-service in the East Coast. George worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford for over forty years as a Tool Maker. The family would like to thank Janet Graves and the staff at Delamere Woods for the wonderful care and support to George.

A loving father and father-in-law, George is survived by his son David G. Mongon and his wife Susan of Hartford. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield. Burial will be in West Cemetery, Granby, MA.

Orphaned as a small boy, he fled Ukraine with his sisters, aunt and uncle and lived for some years in a Romanian orphanage.

He immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1923, under the auspices of a Jewish charity, where he was raised in the Montreal Home. As a young adult, he worked at and eventually managed the Montefiore Home orphanage in Montreal. In 1938, he immigrated to the U.S., settling in Hartford, where he worked in the grocery business. In 1941, he was drafted into the army where he served as a non-commissioned officer until the end of World War II in Europe. He was stationed in many theaters, including North Africa, Italy, France and Germany.

Max returned to Hartford after the war. In 1947, he met Wanda Baldinger who became his wife in January, 1948. They raised two sons, Peter, 57 and Barry, 55. Max started his own business in 1955, and retired from business in 1 977. A lifelong outdoorsman.

Max was an avid skier and hiker, as well as a passionate sports fan. Max had great faith in the human spirit. He was an inspiration and encouragement to all who knew him. Max leaves his wife, his two sons, his four grandchildren, his devoted sister, Hilda Brownstone, and three nephews. Friends may send e-mail condolences to the Matt family by visiting Mr.

Mr. LaMothe was born in Bristol on February 5, 1924 and was a son of the late Alphonse and Cecile (Taillon) LaMothe. He formerly lived in Bristol until moving to Burlington in 1963, and he worked for Branch Motor Express until retiring in 1984.

After retirement, he drove a school bus in Burlington for several years. He was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Army Air Corps, and was a member of the American Legion Post 2, the Burlington Men's Club, and St. Gregory Church, Bristol. In addition to his wife, Mr. LaMothe is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Lau-rianne LaMothe of New Britain; two daughters and sons-in-law, Joan LaMothe-Newton and George Newton of Canton, and Patricia Regis and Peter Regis Jr.

of Torrington; a brother, Paul LaMothe of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; two sisters, Alice Leger of Bristol, and Theresa Boyer of New Britain; five grandchildren. Holly Leger of Bristol, and Nicholas, Nathan, Chantel, and Dylan Regis, all of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. The family thanks Countryside Manor for the compassionate care given to Moe. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at St.

Born in Hartford, January 2, 1918, son of the late Arthur and Marie (Gierginsky) Grundt he has lived in Bloomfield for the past 56 years. He graduated from Weaver High School in 1936. Al was a veteran of World War II serving proudly with the 9th Infantry Division in North Africa, Sicily and from Normandy to Germany.

He retired from SNET after 32 years. Al was an avid jazz fan, he and Audrey were active members of the Hartford Jazz Society and were an appreciative audience for local jazz musicians. Besides his wife, Audrey of 59 years, he is survived by three loving sons, Jeffrey Grundt and his wife, Karen Brady-Grundt of West Hartford, Charles "Chuck" Grundt and his wife, Barbara Young of Loxahatchee, FL, Steven Grundt and his wife, Andrea of Bloomfield. Albert was also the adored PopPop of his granddaughters, Alexandra and Kathe-rine Grundt of West Hartford. Al and Audrey opened their home and their hearts to Asfaw Beyene, the son of their Ethiopian exchange student "Ben" Beyene Amadi and considered him their fourth son.

The family wishes to give special thanks to Phyllis White and Lorna Whyte for their devoted care to Albert during his last months. His family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor. Funeral services and burial will be private.
