Please note: not all death notices are in alphabetical order. DEATHNOTICES HAVILAND, Regina F. Regina Foley Haviland of Farmington and Kennebunk, ME, died Tuesday, (October 4, 2005). She was born in Portland, ME, on November 13, 1939, the daughter of Thomas J. and Mildred Corcoran Foley.

Regina graduated from Deering High School in Portland and Colby College, where she ma- ored in French. Regina pursued a life long interest in foreign languages and taught French at the Irving Robbins Middle School in Farmington. She loved teaching and was recognized by her peers as amaster teacher. After retiring, she continued to teach French at Avon Old Farms School, a private secondary school in Avon. Regina was amember of the Alliance Francais of Hartford.

Shealso was a memberof the Connecticut Commission for French Cultural Affairs. Regina was honored by Colby College for her many contributions to Colby as Class Vice President, Director and President of the Hartford Alumni Club, and her many years of work with the Colby Admissions Office, receiving the Colby Brick Award. Regina loved Maine and spent her summers at her home in Kennebunk for many years. She also loved golf and was a member of the Cape Arundel Golf Club in Kennebunkport, ME. Regina leaves her husband of 43 years, Gerard O.

Haviland of Farmington. She also leaves her son John, daughter-in-law Suzanne and grandson, Thomas J. Haviland of West Hartford; her daughter Anne Buechler; son-in- law Kevin, and grandchildren Catherina, Nell, and Jake of Davidson, NC; her son Peter Haviland of Weymouth, MA; her son Dennis, daughter-in-law Renee, and grandchildren, Susannah, and Timothy Haviland of South Fayette, PA. Regina also leaves her beloved mother-in-law, Theresa G. Haviland of Weymouth, MA; three brothers-in-law and sisters- in-law, and seven nieces and nephews.

Regina was agracious lady who shared her love, wisdom and friendship generously with everyone she encountered. Regina was a member of the Church of St. Patrick in Farmington. Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street, Route 4, Unionville, on Friday October 7, rom 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Church of St. Patrick, Main Street, Farmington, on Saturday October 8, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Farmington and a reception for all of friends and family will be held at the Refectory a Avon Old Farms School in Avon. HAYES, Jeffrey Louis Jeffrey Louis Hayes, generous in deed, wit that dry sense of humor, and film affectionado and lover of poetry and the restaurateur, with a palate for the finest of compassionate, humble.

Born July 25, 1957 in Columbus, OH, son of Dorothy and Lewis Hayes, who predeceased him. The descendant of Hungarian circus performers, he brought the art of theater to everything he undertook from the shooting and editing of his own films to his stage at the front door of the Elbow Room. He was agracious restaurateur, who could entertain customers and friends with stories of Miles Davis while he poured and held forth on the qualities of a particularly seductive California wine. Jeff was also an old fashioned gentleman, a contemporary bon-vivant, and avoracious reader of modern poetry, whose rare moments of relaxation would include reading Wallace Stevens while listening to John Prine. He was unpredictable and intensely loyal to his friends.

He was the ultimate gracious host. He leaves cousins, Richard Heskett, and Nancy Cunningham and her husband, Presley. He will be missed by many, many especially Kim and Kent Swepston, Jeff Cowie, Michael Wilson, Catherine and Will Wilkins, Marj orie, Jim, Jarrett, and Liza Solomon, Tad Graham-Handley, Pat Seremet and Fred Augsten, Alison Recor, Lee Hill, Susan Waltersdorf, Sara and Mark Pierce, and Linda, Ferg, Emily and Caroline Jansen. He moved to Connecticut in 1987 and was associated with Hop Brook Restaurant in Simsbury and several other restaurants before founding The Elbow Room in West Hartford Center with his business partner and very dear friend, Benny Delbon. He was a long standing board member of Real Art Ways and was a solid supporter of Hartford Stage and many other non-profit organizations.

Jensen died Saturday, (October 1, 2005) at Wolcott View Manor. She was born in Newington, the daughter of Hans and Dorothea (Jensen) Hansen and lived in Wolcott 45 years, and was retired from the Ethel was a member of the Wolcott Congregational Church Ladies Aid and was very active in the Girl Scouts for many years (Conn. Trails Council). Besides her husband, she leaves two sons and daughters-in-law, William C. and Eileen Jensen, and David H.

and Cheryl Jensen all of Waterbury; adaughter, Linda V. Minervini of Wolcott; abrother and sister-in-law, Howard and Carol Hansen of Rocky Hill; two sisters, Elizabeth Salafia of Manchester, and Nancy Morgan of West Hartford; several nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. Ethel was predeceased by two sisters, Beatrice H. Crafts and Jeanette H. Pedersen.

There will be a funeral service, Saturday, Oct. 8, 11 a.m. at the Wolcott Congregational Church with a viewing from 10-11 a.m., just prior to the service. There will also be calling hours Friday, Oct. 7, 5-7 p.m.

at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. (Rt. 160), Rocky Hill. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. Everyone is asked to go directly to church on Saturday.

Jimerson, of Cromwell, passed away peacefully amongst family on Monday, (Oct. 3, 2005) after along and painful struggle against Systemic Lupus Erythematosus.

Renea was born on May 19, 1962 in Meridian, MS to the proud parents of Onnie C. Jimerson of Cromwell and the late Norman R. Jimerson, Sr. She was the beloved sister of Norman R. Jimerson, Jr.

and his wife Desrie L. Mason-Jimerson, Dominic M. Jimerson, and Terrell M. Jimerson and his wife Sabrina; granddaughter of Ray and Edna imer- son; niece of Mary Lee McCoy, Linda Jimerson, Gwendolyn Waterhouse and Artherine Banks; and step-daughter of Clinton Spivey. Renea was affectionately called by her nieces and nephews, Shanaa, Kayla, Domi- nae, Jordan, and Justin Jimerson.

She took great pride in, and was deeply devoted to, nurturing and caring for her nieces and nephews. She touched our lives in a mighty way and leaves us all with so many wonderful memories. We miss her deeply and will always love her. Funeral services will be held at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 346 Butternut Middletown, Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, South Main Middletown. Carl John Kaminski, 68, of Simsbury, beloved husband of Eileen Kaminski, passed away, Tuesday, (October 4, 2005) at St.

Francis Hospital from injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Cleveland, OH, son of the late Vincent and Helen (Wondolowski) Kaminski he had lived in Cleveland, OH, most of his life, moving to Simsbury 10 years ago. Carl served in the US Coast Guard on active and reserve duty. Before retiring he was employed at the First National Supermarket Warehouses in Cleveland, OH. After his retirement he worked part-time at Gibbs Mobil Station in Simsbury Center and enjoyed the fellowship of other retirees and customers at the station.

He was a member of the East reunion group and was a proud member of AA. Besides his wife Eileen, he leaves a son John and his wife Karen Kaminski of Parma, OH; adaughter Deborah and her husband Kelly Gordon of Gresham, OR; a stepson Ric Kruszynski of Brunswick, OH; two stepdaughters Joanna Vala of Medina, OH, and Lori Kruszynski of Lakewood, OH; seven grandchildren Taylor and Chad Gordon, Katie and Josh Kruszynski, Jimmy, Sarah and Joey Vala. He also leaves a sister Victoria Mihna of Brook Park, OH, his best friends Gary and Susan Bousquet. He also leaves his station and poker buddies Marvin, Ned, Joe, Les, Steve, Don, Pete and Jake. He was predeceased by his first wife, Maryann Kaminski; two brothers, Vincent Kaminski Francis Kaminski and a sister Barbara Pavlus.

His family will receive friends Friday, October 7, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at the Hayes-Huling Carmon funeral home, 364 Salmon Brook Granby. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 11 at St. Hyacinth Church in Cleveland, OH.

Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Brook Park, OH. DEATHNOTICES KOSIENSKI, Clarice Jessemine Fisher Services for Clarice Jessemine Fisher Kosienski will be held at 2p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Forest Lawn Funeral Home, Ball, with Reverend David Boothe officiating. Mrs. Kosienski, 84, of Woodworth, LA, passed away Saturday, (October 1, 2005) in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, LA.

She was born in Friendship, AR, on April 12, 1921. She enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II. She attended Hunter College in New York City and Oklahoma in Stealwater during World War II. At the age of 80, she attended LSUA and Louisiana College. She was a restauranteur of Sun Valley Acres for 32 years which was the first drive-in take-out service in Connecticut.

The restaurant was later converted into a catering and banquet service which became the first buffet in New England. In her lifetime she was a member of the following, VFW Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary where she served as commander, the American Legion, CT Restaurant Association, the Elks Club. She served the community for 15 years and 15,000 hours at the VAMC, seven years as a Pink Lady at Cabrini Hospital and five year member of RSVP. She was a former member of the Friendship Methodist Church in Arkansas and a current member of Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Thadduse Kosienski.

She is survived by three sons: Edward Kosienski, Fred Kosienski and Gary Kosienski; a daughter: Linda Kosienski Magnano; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and agreat great grandson. Friends may call in the funeral home Tuesday, from 5-9 p.m. and Wednesday after 8 a.m. until shortly before service time. Jose R. Krohomer passed from this life on Tuesday (October 4, 2005) at the age of 66 in his home surrounded by his loving family after acourageous battle with cancer. Jose was born in Lima, Peru whereafter he ventured to the United States in 1959. He was aveteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a medic from 1961-63 before being given an honorable discharge.

He then brought his mother and sister to the United States in 1966. He worked at Dunham-Bush in West Hartford for 20 years before retiring from the U.S. Postal Service in Hartford with 20 years of commendable service. His many interests included traveling extensively through Europe and South America, learning the German language, studying world history, photography and spending time with his family. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia (Alcantara) Kro- homer; his sister, Alicia K. Spencer and her husband, John; his beloved nephew, Joseph M. Spencer and his wife, Nicole and their son, Evan; his beloved niece, Kristine Vignone and her husband, Craig, and their children, Hannah, Shea, and Johnny; and his beloved nephew, Gregory Spencer. He will also be missed by his friends, co-workers, and family from Spain, France, Germany, Peru, and the United States. He was predeceased by his father, Jose M.

Krohomer. Amass will be held in memory on Wednesday October 12, in Barranco (Lima) Peru where he began his life and often visited the many people who love him. Funeral services will begin Saturday October 8, at 9:15 a.m. from the Samsel Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland South Windsor followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St.

Philip Church, Rte. 5East Windsor. Burial will follow in St. Catherine Cemetery, Broad Brook with full military honors. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 5-8 p.m.

Born in Hartford, he was the son of Elynore (Sigmond) Shapiro of West Hartford, and the late Harold M. Shapiro. Besides his mother, he leaves ason, Stephen Shapiro of Rocky Hill; a daughter, Abagayle Shapiro of West Hartford; a grandson, Elijah Shapiro; and two brothers, Scott B.

Shapiro and Leigh H. Shapiro and his wife, Malena all of West Hartford; as well as a devoted aunt, Dorothy H. Shapiro. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 7, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Avenue, Hartford.

Jr. Samuel W.P. McGill, 81, of Glastonbury, and Matunuck RI, husband of the late Virginia (Geiger) McGill, died Friday, (September 30, 2005) at home. Born Nov. 8, 1923 in Hartford, son of the late Samuel W.P., Sr.

and Alma (Skirrow) McGill he had lived in Glastonbury since 1960. Sam graduated from Weaver High School in 1941, from Trinity College in 1951, and from the University of Connecticut Law School in 1954. He practiced law in Glastonbury from 1954 to 1957 when he joined the Aetna Life Insurance Co. which he retired from in 1983. Sam served in the U.S.

Navy during World War II on four ships, the USS Philadelphia, USS SC-512, USS YMS 392, and the USS Helena, he retired from the navy as a LT. Commander. Sam was a member of the Masons, Daskum- Columbia Lodge in South Glastonbury, he was on the directors staff of the Shriners and a member of the Jesters and the East Glastonbury Fish and Game Club. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Susan McGill Cross and her husband, Timothy of Tallahassee, FL, Elizabeth McGill Garmise and her husband, Stuart of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Nathan and Lydia Cross, and Benjamin and David Garmise; two sisters and their husbands, Judith and George Gerrity of Tampa, FL, Carol and Anthony Chicerchia of Deltona, FL; a niece and two nephews, Christine and Anthony Chicerchia and Jonathan Gerrity.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, Main Glastonbury. Burial with full military honors will follow in Neipsic Cemetery, Glastonbury.

McNichols, 68, of Westchester Colchester, beloved husband, to Diane (Hemsworth) McNichols, entered into Gods care Tuesday, (October 4, 2005) at the Hospice Unit of Middlesex Hospital with his loving family by his side. Born April 16, 1937 in Chicago, IL, he was a son to the late William McNichols and Ruby May Shew Clark. Ron honorably served in the U.S.

Airforce. He had retired from Prattand Whitney Aircraft after 45 years as an Electrical Engineer. He was a former Little League coach, a former member of the Colchester Farmers Club and an avid golfer. real joy in his life were his grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Lori and husband, Mark Miller of Carthage, NY; sons, David McNichols of New Britain, William Nantz, Jr.

and Mark Nantz of Colchester; daughter, Christine and husband, James Foley of Colchester. In addition he leaves two brothers, John "Jack" and wife, Carol McNichols of Colchester; asister, Sylvia and husband, Merle Seaver of Bristol; and brother, Fredrick Shew; grandchildren, Taylor and Heather Miller and Kyle Foley. Misenti, 81, wife of the Late Sebastian" Doc" Misenti of Caroldon Middletown, and St. Pete Beach FL, died Monday, (October 3, 2005) at St. Francis Hospital following a brief illness. She was born June 5, 1924 in Middletown, daughter of the Late Salvatore and Josephine (Camillo) Rafala. She was a member of St.

Francis of Assisi Church. Prior to her retirement she was employed by the State of Connecticut. Mrs. Misenti was the first woman Principal Purchasing Officer for Textiles for the State of Connecticut. She was an Avid Yankee and Tampa Devil Rays Fan.

She is survived by two sons Thomas and his wife Alicia Misenti of Wethersfield and Richard Misenti of Clearwater, FL. A brother, Salvatore T. and his wife, Nancy Rafala of Plantsville; three grandchildren, Thomas Lisa and Kyle Misenti. Funeral Services will be held Saturday morning at 8a.m. from the Funeral Home, 22 South Main followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m.
