JENSEN, Eleanor "Ellie" (Bauer) it 41 3s 3 Paul Krell, 89, of Farmington, husband of the late Jean (Gabriel) Krell, passed Nicholas G. Saran- topoulos, a retired attorney, whose home was at Bar SCHULTZ, Louise L. Louise L.

Schultz, 95, of Middletown, passed away on Saturday, (August 18, 2012) at Middlesex Hospital. Born in New York, NY, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria (Fedoriwicz) Litwin. Louise lived in Middletown for the past 13 years, had been employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for 10 years, was a member of the North United Methodist Church in Manchester where she was a member of the choir for many years, and loved doing crossword puzzles. She is survived by three sons, Jim Carroll and his wife Julie of Middletown, Joe Carroll and his wife Iris of Waterbury and Fred Carroll of Middle-town; one daughter Priscilla Positano and her husband Vince of Clearwater, FL; three step-daughters, Barbara Nickerson and her husband Carl of Texas, Pamela and Sandra Schultz both of Glastonbury; five grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren. Besides her parents she was pre-de-ceased by three husbands, Clem Sherwood, Joe Carroll and Harry Schultz; a son Philip Carroll; and two sisters, Josephine Stannard and Francis Litwin.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Congregational Church, 110 South Road, Farmington on Wednesday, Aug.

22 at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Avon. Special thanks to Eleanor's granddaughter Erica Silvestri who opened her home for hospice care and a loving gathering place for family. PAINTER, Rev. Edward Davis Brian James Miner, 64, of Waterbury, died Tuesday, (August 7, 2012). Brian was born July 2, 1948 in Concord, NH, son of the late Bruce B. Miner Sr. and Marion G.

(Connors) Miner. He moved with his family, including his older brother Bruce, to Cheshire in 1955. A long-time resident of Cheshire, Brian attended Cheshire High School and Tunxis Community College. For many years he was employed at Boemmels Auto Wash in Cheshire. He loved films, photography, and cars, especially Fords and Lincolns.

Brian a gentle soul enjoyed spending summer vacations in Maine visiting relatives and relaxing on the beach at Wells. Brian was a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Bruce B. and Jeanne D. Miner Jr.

of Wethersfield; his nieces, Julia Perez and Alison Miner, his nephew Kevin B. Miner, great-niece Adrianna Perez, and great-nephew Anthony Miranda, who shared his fondness for Friendly's. com PETERS, Maria (Minervini) away peacefully Saturday, (August 18). Born in South-ington, January 21, 1923, son of the late Jacob and Anna (Dykstar) Krell, he was the last of nine siblings. Prior to retiring, Paul was a set-up man at TRWMarlin Rockwell in Plainville for 44 years. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II and a lifelong communicant at the Church of St. Matthew in Forest-ville.

Paul was a farmer all his life, growing up on the family farm on Rt. 177, he carved his own farm in the woods behind his fathers for he and his wife Jean. After his wife Jean passed away in 1999, he moved his farm wagon stand into his garage. Friends and customers from Farmington and Bristol waited every year for his special crops of Blueberries. During the last couple of years many times he could be seen in the garage or under the tree socializing with them.

But what he liked most was being in the fields doing his farming with his sons. He was a unique man who will be missed by family and friends. Paul is survived by his two sons, Paul Krell Jr. of Bristol, and Mark Krell and his wife Iris of Farmington; four grandchildren, Amy Krell, Alison Krell, Nicole Krell and Jon Krell. He was predeceased by his siblings, Anna, Katie, Sophie, Helen, John, Peter, Fred and Jackie.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (Aug. 23) from 4-8 p.m. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Friday (Aug. 24) at 9:15 a.m.

Mr. Sarantopoulos was born September 24, 1923 in Lewiston, ME. His family settled in Connecticut when he was four years old; and, except for periods in the Army during World War II and at college and law school, he was a resident of the Brooklyn-Kill-ingly area since that time.

Mr. Sarantopoulos attended Killingly Public Schools; and he took degrees from the University of Cincinnati and the University of Connecticut School of Law. Fo 1 1 owing his graduation from law school in 1959, Mr. Sarantopoulos opened a law office in Danielson where he practiced for fifty-one years. Since 1994, Mr.

Sarantopoulos had maintained a partnership with his nephew, Christian Sarantopoulos, and with Christian's wife, Rachel Sarantopoulos. Mr. Sarantopoulos was an Army Infantry Sargent during World War II and served in the European Theatre. Mr. Sarantopoulos was predeceased by his wife, Natalie, whose maiden name was Natalie M.

Mahan, after fifty eight years of marriage. He is survived by his grandson, Peter S. Crelan, five siblings, Louis Sarantopoulos and his wife Stella, Peter Sarantopoulos, Arthur Sarantopoulos and his wife Evelyn, John Sarantopoulos and his wife Linnea, and Christine Wexler and her husband Wilhelm; as well as many nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and a great granddaughter. Funeral Services will be private. TINYSHYN, Wasyl "Bill" A Roslyn Z.P.

Montlick, A A 89, of Guilford passed away on Saturday, (August 18, 2012). Tibby was born in Hartford, daughter of the late George and Gussie Pes-sin. Tibby was a graduate of UCONN Law School in 1946. She started her private general practice in New Haven and retired in 1985 after 39 years. Tibby was one of the first female trial lawyers in Connecticut.

Despite her many professional accomplishments, Tibby always said her proudest achievement was her family. After retirement she and her late husband Ben became snowbirds, dividing their time between Naples, FL and Connecticut. Tibby was predeceased by her husband, Benjamin, sisters Annette Gold, Lindy Fein-stein, and brothers Arnold Pessin and Harold Pessin. She is survived by daughters Linda Loen and her husband John of Guilford, and Susan Spector and her husband Robert of Tolland. She leaves behind four grandchildren, Sandy Daig-nault (Marc) of Madison, Alison Critton (Gabriel) of Tolland, Jason Michel of East Haven and Chelsea Peters (Matthew) of Portland, ME.

Tibby also leaves six great grandchildren, Jacob and Cole Daignault, Myles.Tea-gan and Benjamin Critton and Lucas Peters. Tibby is survived by two sisters; Marcia Kagan and Sandra Gersten, both of West Hartford. The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Yale New Haven Hospital, and CT Hospice in Bran-ford for the exceptional care Tibby received. Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday August 21 at 11:30 a.m. at Weinsteins Mortuary at 640 Farming-ton Hartford.

Edward Davis Painter, 66, of Niantic, passed away peacefully at his home after a long battle with cancer. Ed was born on January 21, 1946, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Sally (Morrow) and the late Edward Davis Painter, Sr. Growing up in North Carolina, his family's world revolved around their church.

As a young man he often thought about a life serving God, but the conflicts of the world would get in the way of those plans. Ed joined the Navy during the Vietnam era and enjoyed a career as a submariner. Over his 20 years in the Navy, he served on the Andrew Jackson, Sam Rayburn and George C. Marshall. His hard work and dedication earned him the title of Chief of the Boat, the highest ranking enlisted man on the submarine.

Upon his retirement from the Navy in 1987, he followed his calling in the service of God, completing divinity school at Yale University. He was ordained by the United Methodist Conference and his first assignment was a small Methodist church in Bolton, CT and so started his second career, providing the Word of God in Bolton, CT, Gales Ferry, CT, New London, CT and Dalton, MA. He enjoyed being involved with the youth groups, mission trips, Habitat for Humanity and the local soup kitchens. Upon Ed's retirement from the ministry he remained active in the church providing pastoral care. He is predeceased by his wife, Debbie Painter (Doris Benner) and his father, Edward Davis Painter, Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Sally (Morrow) Painter of Ocala, FL, his sister Cynthia Lytle, her husband Richard and their daughter Sara of Ocala, FL; his three children, Barbara Buzzelli and her husband Randy of Niantic, CT, Carlton Seybolt and his wife Kristin of New Britain, PA and David Painter and his wife Alice of Northborough, MA; ten grandchildren, Joey, Karla, Christy, Carl, Ricky, Ryan, Stella, Eddie, Josh and Emily and four great grandchildren, Tori, Alex, Karmella and Brooke. Calling hours will be August 23, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at the Thomas L. Nei-lan Sons Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic, CT 06357. A memorial service will be held at the United Methodist Church of Gales Ferry, 10 Chapman Lane, Gales Ferry, CT 06335 at 10:30 a.m.

August 24, 2012. The service will be followed by a reception at the church from Noon 1 p.m. and then the burial at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. Wasyl was born in Storona, Ukraine, on January 17, 1932, son of the late Pavlo and Paraskevia Tinyszin.

He worked at New Britain Machine Co. for many years, retiring in 1990. Bill was a founding member and communicant of St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church, New Britain, and was also a member of its choir. He enjoyed trips to Aruba, Florida and El-lensville, NY, and spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves three loving sons, Victor Tinyszin, Ihor Tinyszin and his wife Lynne, and Paul Tinyszin and his wife Linda; four grandchildren, Samantha, Victor, Julia, and Emily. He is also survived by his sister Anna and husband Ignacy Konik and brother Mikolaj and wife Tamara Tinyszin; as well as several nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his sister Anas-tasia Roczniack. Bill's funeral service will begin on Thursday, August 23, 2012, with a Panachyda Service at 9 a.m. at the Bur-ritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt New Britain, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 10 a.m.

at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Glastonbury. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m., with a Panachyda Service beginning at 6 p.m.

Stewart for 58 years, passed away peacefully Sunday, (August 19, 2012), at her home surrounded by her family. Born in East Orange, NJ, daughter of the late Rev.

John G. Johansson and Anna (Lindgren) Johansson, she was raised in West Hartford where she graduated from Hall High School in 1948. She attended Kendall College in Evanston, IL and had lived in Simsbury for 48 years where she had been a member of the Simsbury United Methodist Church and its choir. She was past president of the former West Hartford Swedish Junior League. For a number of years, she was an employee of G.

Fox Co. in dowtown Hartford, where she met her husband Howard. An accomplished seamstress, she maintained her own business for many years in window treatments, bridal dresses, and Raggedy Ann and Andy Dolls. She was an avid quilter and expert in the fabrication of upholstery products and her cross-stitch, needlepoint, and embroidery had been shipped worldwide. Samples of her work adorn the walls of her home.

She loved to travel with her husband, Howard, and together they visited most of the United States and many countries worldwide. She was an avid reader and loved to scrap-book her grandchildren's lives for them. She also loved adding to her giraffe collection and was passionate about the opera and classical music. Besides her beloved husband, Howard, she leaves two daughters, Beth A. Stewart of Simsbury and Leesa L.

Plude and her husband Howard of Avon; a son, Peter L. Stewart of Canton; five grandchildren, Lindsay Bacon of Vernon, Kirstin Stewart of South Windsor, Hunter, Tyler, and Victoria Plude all of Avon; four great grandchildren, Emily, Jacob, Alivia, and Brooke; her sister, Anne Risch and her husband Leonard of Barnegate, NJ; and a sister-in-law, Mary Johansson of Portland. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, John L. Johansson. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, August 26, at 2 p.m.

at the Simsbury United Methodist Church, 799 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury. The Rev. Woody Eddin will officiate. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. There are no calling hours.

For condolences please visit Maria (Minervini) Peters, 63, of Windsor, died at home on Saturday, (August 18, 2012), surrounded by her family, after a 16 month battle with cancer. She was born on September 27, 1948 in Waterbury, to the late Gennaro and Maria Felicia (Merante) Minervino. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ralph Peters; her son, Michael and his wife Leila and grandson Jack of Princeton, NJ; and her daughter, Catherine of Windsor.

She is also survived by her sister, Angela Rinaldi of Waterbury; and her beloved nephews, Joseph Rinaldi of Enfield, Louis Rinaldi and his wife Rhonda of Wolcott, and Ronald Rinaldi and his wife Marlene of Wolcott; her sister-in-law, Sandra Young and her husband Lawrence of Windsor, and their children, Lawrence Young and his wife Mary of Minneapolis, MN, Melissa Young of Vernon, and Cynthia Stango and her husband Timothy of Sandy Hook. She also leaves many great nieces and nephews. For most of Maria's life she was guided and unconditionally loved by her "Uncle Mike" and the Honorable Judge Michael and Angie Ciano of Waterbury. Maria graduated from Crosby High School, Waterbury, in 1966 where she was active in many school clubs and was captain of the cheerleaders. She received here BS and MS degrees in Education from Southern Connecticut State University in 1970 and 1974 respectively.

She taught 5th and 6th grade in Southington from 1970 through 1978, where she worked on many curriculum committees and helped develop and implement the Gifted and Talented Program. She also substitute taught occasionally at St. Gabriel's School in Windsor while raising her two children. Maria was one of the original and never wavering Beatles fans and loved all sporting events. She was a diehard NY Yankees fan despite living in Red Sox territory.

She was an avid reader and loved debating current events. Family and friends may gather on Thursday, August 23, 9 a.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Windsor, followed by a Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., at St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery on East Street in Windsor. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 22, 4-7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Maria's memory to the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, 309 South Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06706. beloved wife of Re-inaldo Ortiz, passed away peacefully at home under the care of her loving daughter, on August 19, 2012, and was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico on September 12, 1943, a daughter of the late Humberto Nunez and Justina Vazquez. Aida was a proud, strong, wise, very spiritual, loving and caring woman. She was the cornerstone in keeping the family close together.

She was devoted to her family, instilling her values of faith, strength, education, loyalty and love to her children. She had a strong work ethic; retiring after working 28 years for First Brands Corp of East Hartford. Aida was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed flowers, especially her garden that her husband Rein-aldo took care of and she enjoyed reading. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband, Aida is survived by her children, her daughter and best friend Aida Luz Mancini and her husband Michael of Tolland; her son Magdiel Ortiz and his wife Carmen of Manchester; her son Melvin Ortiz and his wife Carol of Manchester; grandchildren Carolyn Lisa Colon, Ricardo Gonzalez, Justin Magdiel Ortiz, she was very blessed and grateful to God to see and hold her first great granddaughter Makayla Star Tardif. The family would like to thank the staff of the Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center for their love and excellent care. Friends and family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, August 23rd, from 5-9 p.m. at the New-kirk Whitney Funeral Home, 318 Burnside East Hartford, CT 06108. (Ventimiglia) Peters, 82, of South Windsor, beloved wife of Clifford Peters, died peacefully on Sunday (August 19, 2012) surrounded by her family's love. Born in Hartford, Mary was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Church and passed on God's day. Mary was a strong and beautiful woman who truly made family her most important job, passion and interest.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and mother-in-law. Mary enjoyed having family dinners and pool parties every Sunday and having the whole family surround her. These are very special memories of her family that will never be forgotten. Mary will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts always. In addition to her devoted and loving husband Clifford, she is survived by her children; her son Craig Peters and his wife Jane of South Windsor, Sharon Cessario and her husband Peter of South Windsor; Deborah Cacase and her husband Craig of Newington, as well as her grandchildren, Taryn Kut-niewski and her husband Joseph, Whitney Cacase, Lauren Cessario, Angela Peters and her husband Jason, Brian Peters, Nicole Lajoie and Brittany Lajoie.

She also leaves two great grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Kutniewski as well as two nieces and their families, Sophie Murphy and her husband Robert of East Hartford and Louise Casa-rella and her husband Peter, of Hebron and two very special friends, Marion French and Helen Linsenbi-gler. Heaven is blessed with a new angel! The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., at the Samsel Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor, followed by burial at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends, Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
