Wife of Dr. Donald G. He was born in Norwich, CT on May 12, 1922 son of the late Stanley and Lorretta (Blair) Mulkin.

Paul was a Lieuten-ent in the Army Air Corp and served his country honorably as a bomber pilot during World War II. Mr. Mulkin worked for many years as a Design Analyst and Draftsmen at Hamilton Standard Co. and Pratt and Whitney. While at Hamilton he worked on the life support system worn by astronauts on the first moon walks.

He is survived by two sons Paul Mulkin of Houston, TX and Richard Mulkin and his wife Kimberly of Tolland, CT, three daughters Mrs. Linda Hollinger and her husband Mark of Grand Junction, CO, Mrs. Pamela Peterson and her husband Paul of Katy, Texas and Mrs. Patricia Me-linder and her husband Arthur of Kingwood, TX, grandchildren John Tollin of Lakewood CO, Mellissa Carl-strom of Littleton CO, Jackie and Derrick Melinder of King-wood, TX, Justin and Eric Mulkin of Tolland CT, great grandchildren, Chayley and Tyler Tollin and Dylon Chaf-fin, his aunt Rosalie Mulkin of Glastonbury Ct and cousin Gerald Mulkin of West Hartford Ct. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at 11 a.m.

at the Cummings Gagne Funeral Home 82 Cliff St. Norwich, CT. Burial will follow with Military Honors at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. A calling hour will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of the service.

Condolences may be sent to HILLIMAN, Matilda Johnson Matilda 'Tillie' Johnson Hil-liman, 91, of East Windsor, passed away peacefully among family January 16, 2010. Matilda was born November, 9, 1918, in Clearfield county PA and grew up in Georgia and Tennessee. She moved to East Windsor in 1955 where she raised her family. Matilda worked in the food services industry as a head cook for over 50 years, first for Manchester Foods and later at Maneely's catering. Matilda's compassion for her family and others was immense, always opening her heart and home to those in need.

In her younger years, she was an exceptional athlete, playing semiprofessional ladies basketball and Softball. Due to her athletic background, she was an avid supporter and fan of professional tennis and women's college basketball, particularly the UCONN Huskies. She did, however, find herself in quite the conundrum when her home state Lady Vols of Tennessee played UCONN. Throughout her life, Matilda was also an avid reader, loved cross-word puzzles and was a history buff in an array of subjects. She was known for encouraging others to never stop learning emphasizing education as being the keystone of success in one's life.

Matilda is survived by her five children listed in order of birth, daughter, Jessie Andrea Johnson-Grimes and husband, Roosevelt, of Elberton, GA; son, Michael Johnson and his wife, Doreen, of Broad Brook; daughter, Mo-neka Wright of Hartford; daughter, Matilda Hayes of East Hartford; son, Samuel Hilliman Jr. and wife, Jacqueline of East Windsor; eight grandchildren, Michelle John-son-Cleary, Monique High-tower, Heather Hilliman, Roosevelt Grimes Nikki Menefee, Rosalie Hilliman, Jessica Huston, Gregory Wright Jr. and Samuel Hilliman III; a great-granddaughter, Mariana Wright and a host of loved nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may join the family on Friday, Jan. 22, at the Bassinger Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner East Windsor, for a calling hour from 5-6 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6 p.m.

For online condolences and directions, please visit GLAZIER, Mark Luther Mark Luther Glazier, 61, of Grove Street, Windsor Locks, CT, died unexpectedly at St. Francis Hospital on Sunday (January 17, 2010). Mark was the son of Luther "Jeff Glazier and Beatrice (Nisha-nian) Glazier and grew up in Stafford Springs, CT.

He is survived by his brother, Douglas, and his wife, Jean, of Windsor Locks; his sister, Margaret Glazier Nishanian, of Stafford Springs; and several nieces and nephews. Mark was a member of the Masonic Order Wolcott Lodge 60 in Stafford and Grand Master of the Stafford Grange 01. Mark was a car salesman and antique auctioneer for many years but recently was attending Asnuntuck Community College, studying Drama and has appeared in several plays at the college as well as in Stafford Springs and Willimantic, CT. Olin for the past 37 years. Marion was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, daughter of the late Lloyd and Cora (Bell Stordy. She graduated from Prince of Whales College (P.E.I.) with a Bachelor's. Degree in business in 1953, before moving to Middletown, CT in 1954. From 1954- 1958 she worked for Wilcox- Crittenden Manufacturing in Middletown and later at UARCO in Deep River and Turbo Industries in Cen-terbrook as a secretary for many years.

She then began a 28 year career at Deep River Savings Bank, then New England Savings Bank and finally Citizens Bank, retiring in 2000 as the Assistant Manager. Marion was also a member of the Deep River Congregational Church, had a great love of the Maine Coast, Vermont and the Caribbean, gardening and canning her vegetables. In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by her loving daughter Joanne Lesick Zase of Palm Coast, FL, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brother Leith Stordy. Funeral Service and interment will be private.

A LANDOLINA, Frank James Frank James Landolina, 75, of Middletown, devoted husband of the late Marylee (Smith) Landolina for 32 years, passed away on Monday, (January 18, 2010) due to complications from a stroke at Middlesex Health Care Center in Middletown.

Born on September 9, 1934, in Hartford, he was the son of the late Michael and Angeline (Mortelaro) Landolina. Frank graduated from i I Iyer College with a degree in mechanical engineering and was employed at American Tool and Machine in Windsor for 25 years where he was the Quality Control Manager in the aerospace industry. He was a member of South Congregational Church in Middletown and was an avid Giants fan. Frank leaves behind his loving daughter, Dawn Marie Landolina of Middletown; four brothers, Paul Landolina of Cape Coral, FL, John Landolina of Port Charlotte, FL, Salvatore Landolina of Old Saybrook and James Landolina of Cromwell; and 15 nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Middlesex Health Care Center and Middlesex Hospice Unit for the wonderful care they provided.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 25, at 11 a.m., at South Congregational Church, 9 Pleasant Middletown with the Rev. Marybeth Marshall officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family. MILLANE, Evelyn Barbara (Kocarnik) Evelyn Barbara (Kocarnik) Millane, 84, of Oakdale, beloved wife of Albert, passed away Monday (January 18, 2010) at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London. Born March 13, 1925 in New Britain, she was a daughter of the late John and Lillian (Klecak) Kocarnik. She grew up in South Windsor and was a graduate of Ellsworth High School. Mrs. Mil-lane was a secretary for the State Highway Department in Hartford and New Haven for many years and retired from UCONN after having worked in the Schools of Nursing and Allied Health.

Over the years, she lived in Southbury, Chaplin, Niantic and Salem before moving to Oakdale in 1995. An avid lover of animals and wildlife, she especially cherished the six canines that came into her life. She also enjoyed dancing to Big Band music and did so frequently. In addition to her loving husband of 62 years, she is survived by a sister, Janet Kuehner of Hanover, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Wilson, late of South Windsor.

Private services and interment will be observed in the Willington Hill Cemetery, West Willington. There are no calling hours. Susan J. Pinto formerly of Manchester passed away peacefully on Thursday (January 14, 2010) at The Hospice of the Sandias in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Susan was born August 28, 1946 in Manchester to the late Michael and Merideth (Yunkins) Pinto. She attended Eastern Conn State College and later onwent and received her Masters Degree from the University of Conn. She move to New Mexico where she re-cieved a second Masters De-gee.

She worked as a teacher and a counselor in the education field, in addition to teaching on an Indian Reservation before be ing afflicted with Alzheimers Disease. She had a small ranch with horses and other livestock which she cared for and loved dearly. She is survived by her sisters, Joan Metcalfe of Cape Cod, Fay Hunt and her husband Ed of Rocky Hill, Marilyn Barile and her husband Francis of Portland. She also leaves her uncle Frank Pinto, in addition to her nephew Michael Wen-nergren and his wife Laura and family. Her neice Laura and husband Jim Barassi and family.

She also leaves numerous cousins. Susan's wishes were to be cremated and her remains stay in New Mexico. died peacefully on January 18, 2010. He was born in Springfield, MA, on December 26, 1915, the son of the late Peter F. McKay and Sarah Cahill McKay, and grew up in West Hartford, CT.

He graduated from Wm. Hall High School in West Hartford in 1933, and attended the former Hillyer College. At that time he also began working at the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, and was a member of the U.S Cavalry. During World War II he served as a captain in the U.S. Army Air Corp, trained as a pilot and flight instructor.

In 1944 he married Pat in Coffeyville, KS, and they returned to CT where he continued his career at the Travelers, retiring in 1980 as Vice President and Treasurer of the Securities Group. He will be remembered for his love for his family, his infectious sense of humor, his great golf and tennis games, and as a founder and past president of the Red Oak Hill Swim Club. He enjoyed many years acting the leading comic roles in numerous Simsbury Light Opera Company productions, loved vacations at Hawks Nest Beach, Old Lyme, CT, and was a member of the Univer-salist Church of West Hartford, CT. In addition to his wife, Peter is survived by his two daughters, Marjorie Wid-ness and her husband, Edward, of Glastonbury, CT, and Kathleen Keith and her husband, Quentin of West Hartford, CT. He also leaves three grandchildren, David Keith and his wife Emily Gallagher of New Haven, CT, Holly Doo-ley and her husband Terry of South Glastonbury, CT, Megan Keith Chenot and her husband, Peter, of Hamden, CT, and one great-grandchild, Nolan Dooley, of South Glastonbury, CT.

Myers, FL. passed away peacefully on January 15, 2010 at Shell Point Medical Center, Ft. Myers, FL. following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford, CT.

On September 20, 1938 to the late Andrew and Anna (Ka-bian) Aharonian the eldest of three daughters. She grew up in New Britain, CT. attended schools there and went on to receive her associate's degree from Bay Path College in Longmeadow MA. She was employed as a Medical Secretary working in the Medical Records Department at New-ington Children's Hospital now CT. Children's Medical Center.

She resided in New-ington CT. for many years before moving to Ft. Myers, FL and her husband, David enjoyed participating in the many activities in their community of Heritage Cove. Suzanne was a Red Hat Member and an avid bicyclist. She is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years, David Newton, her sons, Eric Engel of Newington, CT.

KANDARIAN, Thelma Edward "Eddie" Lapponese, 74, of Nancy Drive, Enfield, died Monday, (January 18, 2010), at home. He was predeceased by his wife Regina "Babe" (Liberty) Lapponese, who passed away September 8, 1998. Eddie was born in Springfield, MA to the late Pasquale and Elisa (Scatolini) Lapponese, and was a resident of the Enfield community for 48 years.

He was employed by REVCO from the early 1960's until 1978, serving as vice-president of the company. He followed a lifelong dream to own a sporting goods store and became owneroperator of Eddies Sporting Goods until 1994. Afterward he was employed at Hallmark Cards for 11 years before retiring in 2005. In 1972 he was a founding member of the Suburban Touch Football League and served as League Commissioner in Agawam, MA. His roots in the Enfield Community sporting world run deep, starting with the Enfield Parents Sports Association, coaching girls Softball, basketball, and the Enfield Americans football team.

He was a founding member and commissioner of the Enfield Flag Football League. He sponsored Little League teams in Enfield, East Windsor, and Windsor. He sponsored two men's teams and one women's team in the Enfield Slo-pitch Softball League. His two men's teams, Eddies 1 and Eddies 2, went head-to-head for a season championship. He organized and ran the Brian Fisher Memorial Softball Tournaments for many years.

He was often referred to as "The Mayor of Brainerd He was a founding member of the Enfield Athletic Hall of Fame and received the George Daly Award in 1999. He umpired in the Enfield Girls Softball League this past year and served as referee and umpire for countless years in local leagues. He enjoyed calling BINGO at the Enfield Senior Center and American Legion and served as Gym Coordinator at Enfield Street School for Youth Recreation Basketball League. Eddie is survived by his five children, Donna and Carl Trippodo of West Suf-field, Karen Manzone and her companion, Andrew Pashos of Enfield, Lynn Lapponese of Salem, MA, David and Pamela Lapponese of Enfield, and Tina and Steven LeBlanc of Enfield; ten grandchildren, Carli, Malori and Michael Trippodo, Abbey and Sarah Manzone, Jillian and Megan Laponese, and Regina, Cameron and Collin LeBlanc; a sister, Marie Villenuve and her husband, Ron, of East Long-meadow; a brother, Richard Lapponese of Enfield; and his companion, Kerri Molloy. Muzynski, 50, of High Street, Collinsville, beloved husband of Caryl A. (Blakley) Muzynski, died Monday, (January 18, 2010) at John Dempsey Hospital with his wife by his side.

He was born May 9, 1959, in Hartford son of Walter F. Muzynski of Canton and the late Crystal (Chilcoat) Muzynski and had lived in Canton all of his life. Don was a Tool and Die Maker for several years. He was an avid fisherman and a member of the CT Fishermen. Don was a foster parent for the Department of Children and Families for 14 years.

During that time he and Caryl opened their home and cared for over 50 children and what he did for those children will never be forgotten. Besides his loving wife of 30 years, he is survived by his sons, William and Zachary Muzynski and Michael Boyea, all of Canton; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Stephen Collins of East Hartland; his step mother, Shirley Muzynski of Canton; several nieces and nephews; his beloved pets Hooch and Wilma and many close friends. The family would like to thank all of his caregivers for the compassionate care they gave Don. For online condolences please visit Alfred J. Pulito, 87, of Glastonbury, beloved husband of Virginia (Fowler) Pulito, died Monday (January 18, 2010) at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home. Born Sept. 6, 1922 in Kensington, son of the late Daniel and Victoria (Zappone) Pulito, he had lived in Glastonbury for the past 44 years. Prior to his retirement he was in sales in the floor covering business.

He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus in Enfield. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Janet and William Pauluh of Glastonbury, two sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Heather Pulito of Glastonbury, Richard and Cindy Pulito of Wayzata, MN, three grandchildren Kieth Pulito of Glastonbury, Michael Pulito and Kathryn Pulito both of NC, three step grandchildren Seth, Micah and Zachery Turman of MN, three brothers and their wives Frank Pulito of Berlin, Robert and Edith Pulito of Kensington, Daniel and Ann Pulito of Rocky Hill, a sister-in-law Dorothy Pulito of Southing-ton. He was predeceased by two brothers Anthony and James Pulito. The family would like to thank the staff at Kimberly Hall North for their care and compassion shown to Al during his stay. Thelma Kandarian, 87, of Hartford, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2010, at McLean Rehabilitation Center. Born in Pennsylvania, she lived in West Hartford from 1957 to 2004 and more recently was an active member of the Avery Heights Community in Hartford, where she resided with her late husband, Col.

Everett H. Kandarian, retired Commandant of the First Company Governors Horse Guard. Her death was also preceded by her beloved brother Charles E. Dibble of Thornhurst, PA. She is survived by her children, Joan K.

Symon of South Berwick, ME; Fay Kandarian, of New Haven, CT; Don P. Kandarian of Clovis California; her grandchildren, Joy Symon Fall of Sanford, ME, Judd M. Symon of North Andover, MA; Amber R. Kandarian of Los Angeles, CA, Brandon S. Kandarian of San Diego, CA and Thomas W.

Lipp of Rockville, MD. Additionally, she leaves four great-grandchildren, Earl and Alice Fall, Paige and Megan Symon and nieces and nephews who were often in her thoughts. Thelma was much loved by friends and family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and a very special person who spent a lifetime of giving to others. While she tried to always stay in the background, she touched many lives by her kindnesses.

She worked a full time job, raised three children, provided love and support for an active husband, opened her home to others, and was a constant pillar of support to all. Although at peace now, she will be greatly missed.
