Mr. Conkey retired from the i Foot Guard in 1939 with the rank ganization granted AOIN Oyk of major, and when he left his home in Manchester to live in Florida 12 years ago, the organ- ization granted him a life membership. He was one of three members with more than 50 years' service, and had been a captain and quartermaster for; most of his Foot Guard career.
