Frenette, 65 Ford Road LUTENDER. Carl Lutender 88, of 249 Boston Post Road, Old Lyme, died Tuesday (April 18) at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London. He was born Jan. 27, 1901 in Middleton, son of the late Henry and Mary Ann (McCormick) Lutender. He had been a resident of Old Lyme since 1969 and was formerly of Grafton, Mass.

Mr. Lutertder was a landscape architect associated with Warren Manning Landscape Architects of Cambridge, Mass. He retired from the field of landscape architecture in 1969. He married the former Irene Burns in Rockville Sept. 10, 1930.

He was a member of Christ the King Church, Old Lyme. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Carl Lutender Jr. of Old Lyme, and Barry Burns Lutender of Southboro, three sisters, Sister Esther Lutender, S.N.D., of Washington, D.C., Sister Alice Lutender, O.S.F., of Haddonfield, N. and Irene Diebold of Milwau-kie, seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beatrice O'Leary of Cumberland, R.I.

Funeral service will be Friday, 12:15 p.m., from the Old Lyme Funeral Home of Alderson-Pren-tis, Beckwith Lane, to a mass of Christian burial, 1 p.m., in Christ the King Church. Angelo Mikkelson, 60, of 208 King Philip Drive, West Hartford, died Tuesday (April 18, 1989) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He was born in New Britain, son of Andrew Mikkelson of East Hartford, and the late Ella (Edgerly) Mikkelson. He was the former owner of Mike's TV Antenna Works. He was known as the "Antenna He was presently employed by the Connecticut Valley Hospital, and Heublein, in Hartford.

He was a Sergeant in the Army in the Korean War, and had received the Purple Heart for wounds in action. Besides his father, he leaves his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth (Sabatinello) Mikkelson of West Hartford; a son, Michael C. Mikkelson of Hartford; a daughter, Deborah L. Plourd of Hartford; a brother, Andrew Mikkelson of East Hartford; three sisters, Jeanette M.

Stanfford of Virginia Beach, Delores M. Vesci of Florida, and Betty Ann Mikkelson of Hartford; and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday, 9:30 a.m., from the Molloy Funeral Home, 906 Farmington West Hartford, with a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Timothy Church, West Hartford. Burial will be in Mount St.

Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 D.m. MORGAN. Benjamin Morgan, 80, of 141 Woodland Hartford, died April 14, 1989, in Mount Sinai Hospital. Mr.

Morgan was born In Ki-trell, N.C, and was a resident of Hartford for three years. Prior to moving to Hartford, Mr. Morgan resided in Rockville for most of his life. He is survived by his brother, Lorenzo D. Morgan of Hartford; three nieces, Shirley Priester of Washington, D.C, Geraldine Dougherty of Hartford, Patricia Leonard of Bloomfield; a devoted nephew, Charles N.

Sutton of Hartford; many other relatives and friends. Funeral service is Thursday, 3 p.m., at Clark, Bell Perkins Funeral Home, 319 Barbour Hartford. Wake is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial is in Northwood Cemetery, Wilson. PARADIS.

Emile Armand Paradis, 64, of 150 Sunset Windsor Locks, husband of the late Dolores (Asselin) Paradis who died Oct. 14, 1988, died unexpectedly Tuesday (April 18) at Mount Sinai Hospital. He was born in Auburn, Maine, and had lived in Windsor Locks for the past 35 years. He had been employed at Hamilton-Standard in Windsor Locks for 37 years, retiring in 1987. Mr.

Paradis was a communicant, of St. Mary's Church, an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Smalley Brothers Post No. 6123 VFW. He is survived by two sons and two daughters-in-law, Craig and Marianne Paradis of Windsor Locks, David and Donna Paradis of Manchester; two daughters and a son-in-law, Deborah and Jay O'Brien of Kennebunk, Maine, and Anne Kanzler of West Palm Gardens, a brother, William Paradis of Ashford; a sister, Lyn-ette Robinson of North Plainfield, N. and eight grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Windsor Locks Funeral Home 441 Spring Windsor Locks, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Mary's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery with military honors. His family will receive friends Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Frenette, 73, of 65 Ford Road, Windsor, husband of Elaine (Prior) Frenette, died Tuesday (April 18) at Hartford Hospital.

Born in New Haven, he lived in Hartford, moving to Windsor 34 years ago. He was a summer resident of Westerly, R.I. for many years. Before retiring, he was a supervisor in the engineering record department at Jacobs Manufacturing Co. in Bloomfield.

He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Windsor, Wyl-lys-St. John's Lodge No. 4 of West Hartford, and Newington Chapter No. 115 0.E.S. Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Robert B.

Frenette of Middle Haddam; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Sandra) Fredo of Windsor; a brother, Archie Frenette of East Hartford; a sister, Mrs. Florence Cooper of East Granby; four grandchildren, Kimberly Fredo and Dennis Fredo Rob Frenette and Michelle Frenette. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m., at the Grace Episcopal Church, 311 Broad Windsor, with the Rev. Donald J.

Hannan III officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Box 70, Wallingford 06492. GALIPEAU. Mitchell H. Galipeau, of Glastonbury, husband of Lydia (Garneau) Galipeau, died Tuesday (April 18) in the Veterans Ad-minstration Hospital and Medical Center, Newington. He was born in Berlin, N.H., June 30, 1913, and had resided in the Glastonbury-Hartford area for many years.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Catholic War Veterans, past commander of the VFW St. Ann Post, he was past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Bradley Council No. 1624, and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Bishop McMahon Assembly. He was a eucharistic minister of St. Paul Church, Glastonbury.

Besides his wife of 52 years, he is survived by a son, Paul Galipeau in California; two daughters, Mrs. Erich (Lorraine) Zwinkel in North Carolina, Mrs. Ronald (Patricia) Bourbeau of Glastonbury; a brother, Antonio Galipeau of West Hartford; six grandchildren; and twin greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Naubuc Glastonbury, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Paul Church, Main Street, Glastonbury.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, South Glastonbury. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, 2-4 and 7--9 p.m. GORDON. Harry Gordon, husband of the late Rose (Solomkin) Gordon, of Surfside, formerly of the Hartford area, died Tuesday (April 18) in Florida.

He was a member of the Jewish Community Center, and the Knights of Pythias, John Hay Lodge. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Benjamin (Beatrice) Ruchln of West Palm Beach, Mrs. Saul (Edna) Klar of Surfside, and Mrs. Herman (Gloria) Goldstein of Freehold, N.J.; two brothers, Jack Gordon of West Hartford, Hy Gordon of Bloomfield Hills, two sisters, Mrs.

Sarah Katz of West Hartford, and Mrs. Fred (Grace) Snyder of Meriden; eight grandchildren; and 14 greatgrandchildren. Funeral service will be today, 12 noon, in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave. Burial will be in John Hay Memorial Park. There will be no period of shiva due to the Passover holiday.

Stacia (Bedus) Masiuk, of Hartford, widow of the late Julian Masiuk, died Monday (April 17, 1989) in St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. She was born in New Britain, daughter of the late John and Magdalan (Rembisz) Bedus, and she resided in Hartford for the past 50 years.

She was employed for many years by the Royal Globe Insurance Hartford, before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Augustine's Church, Hartford. Mrs. Masiuk is survived by two daughters, Carol Sokolowski of Marshfield, and Marian Brodman of Conway, four brothers, Joseph, Edward, and Stanley Bedus, all of Newington, John Bedus of Hartford; three sisters, Helen Kowlek of Wallingford, Grace Kasper and Florence Redekas, both of Newington; seven grandchildren, Hilary, Julianna, Edward III, Alexander, and Gabriel Sokolowski, James and Margaret Brodman; many nieces and neph-ews.

She was predeceased by a son, Rev. Julian Masiuk. Funeral service will be Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from the Talarski Maple Hill Chapels, 380 Maple Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Augustine's Church, Hartford. Interment will follow in St.

Mary's Cemetery, New Britain. The family will receive relatives and friends in the chapels today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. McKONE. Mary (Swift) McKone, 96, formerly of 892 Farmington West Hartford, died Monday (April 17) at the Deep River Convalescent Home, where she had been a resident for the last 9 years. She was born Jan.

19, 1893 In Hartford, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Taylor) Swift. She was the wife of William B.B. McKone who died in 1941. They were married in Hartford Nov. 7, 1918.

She had lived in Hartford and West Hartford most her life, prior to entering the convalescent home in Deep i ver. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Francis X. Whe-lan of Darien, Mrs. Guy Chadwick of Old Lyme and Wellington, three brothers, Robert Swift of Cromwell, Richard Swift of West Hartford, Ernest Swift of West Orange, N.J.

and Stuart, three sisters, Mrs. Robert Driver of West Orange, N.J. and Palm Beach, Miss Isabelle Swift of New York City, N.Y., Mrs. Daniel Calano of Farmington Woods, Avon; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, 11 a.m., in Christ the King Church, Old Interment will follow in the Duck River Cemetery.

There are no calling hours. The Old Lyme Funeral Home of Alderson-Prentis has charge of arrangements. PIAZZA. Sebastian John Piazza, of 404 Old Stafford Road, Tolland, died Monday (April 17) at home. Mr.

Piazza was born in New Britain, and had been a resident of Tolland since 1965. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, 43rd division, 169 Infantry, serving in Germany with the military police, during the Korean conflict. He was a Tolland constable for 12 years, and served one term on the Tolland Democratic Town Committee. Mr.

Piazza was retired from Em-hart Corp. in Berlin after 23 years of service. He was also retired as a security officer from New Britain General Hospital after 13 years of service. He leaves his wife of 34 years, Terry A. (Nesta) Piazza; his beloved children, Jolfn J.

Piazza of Tolland, Susan E. Piazza of Herndon, and Leslie M. May, and her husband, Lt. Daniel R. May, Chief Executive Officer of the U.S.

Coast Guard base in St. Louis, Mo. Mr. Piazza also leaves his pride and joy, his grandchildren, twin grandsons, Adam Daniel and Andrew John May, and a granddaughter, Lauren Alexandra May. He Is also survived by his beloved mother, Mrs.

Lena Piazza of Bristol; two bothers. Patsy Piazza of Forestville, and Salvatore Piazza of New Britain, to whom he was especially close; and four sls- ters, Lucy Colella of Tolland, Dolly Genovese, and Mary Nesta, both of Vernon, and Frances Sarley of Bristol; and several nieces and nephews. White-Gibson-Small Funeral Home, 65 Elm Rockville, has charge of arrangements. There are no calling hours. Leon M. Goldstein, 79, of Tamarac, formerly of West Hartford, died April 17 at University Hospital, Tamarac, Fla. Mr. Goldstein was born in Hartford, son of the late Ida and Jacob Goldstein, and lived in Hartford until his retirement 15 years ago, when he moved to Florida. He was a graduate of Weaver High School, and New York University.

He joined his father in the family business, Bacon Bottling and the Holland Dry and in 1938 he became a partner. He also was a partner in the Mother Goldstein Wine in which the wine was named after his mother. After his retirement, he owned the Railroad Package Store, Willimantic. He leaves his wife of 52 years, Dorothy (Snowman) Goldstein; two sons, Samuel and his wife, Dara, Goldstein of West Hartford, Gerald, and his wife, Oti, Goldstein of Bolinas, a daughter, Mrs. Reesa, and her husband, Dr.

Edward Cohen of Framingham, and four grandchildren, Jodi and Seth Cohen, Ami and Lia Goldstein; many nieces and nephews. Mr. Goldstein was a member of the Civitan Club, Willimantic, Level Lodge No. 137 and a former member of Beth El Temple, West Hartford. Funeral service will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Congregation Ados Israel Cemetery, Zion Hill, Hartford.

Memorial remembrances may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the Hartford Heart Association. Charles Hattem, 67, of 16 Carlyle Road, West Hartford, died' April 18, 1989 at Hartford Hospital.

He was born in New York City, and had lived in the Hartford area for the past 43 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, and had been a sales manager at several automobile agencies. He was a member of the Temple Beth Israel, and the Emanuel Synagogue Minyonaires. He was a Past Master of Level Lodge No. 137 and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Norwich Copsistory.

He was also a member of the Sphinx Temple AAONMS, and the Circus Associates. He was also a member of the West Hartford Squires. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Cecile (La-shin) Hattem; two sons, Jeffrey Hattem of Natick, and Stuart Hattem of Granby; a daughter, Mrs. Lorl-Lynn Skevas of Wethersfield; a brother, Monroe Hattem of Deerfleld, a sister, Mrs.

Lillian Amon of Pompano Beach, and a granddaughter, Carly Skevas. A masonic service will be held Friday, 10:15 a.m., followed by the funeral service, 10:30 a.m., in the chapel of the Weinstein Mortuary, 640 Farmington Ave. Interment will be in Hartford Mutual Society Cemetery, East Granby. Genevieve (Kosciolek) Lagosh, 71, of Hartford, wife of the late Walter B. Lagosh, died Monday (April 17, 1989) at home after a long illness. Born in Hartford, she had lived in the Hartford area all her life. She had been employed by the Royal Typewriter, Hartford for many years. She was a member of Sts.

Cyril and Methodius Church, Hartford. She is survived by three sons, Walter M. Lagosh of Wethersfield, Frederick Lagosh and Daniel Lagosh, both of Newington; and six grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Lenny Lagosh. Funeral will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m..

KUSZEK. Stephen J. Kuszek, 63, of 330 Chapman New Britain, died Tuesday (April 18) at New Britain General Hospital. He was born in Lowell, and had lived in New Britain most of his life. He was a U.S.

Army veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Claire T. (Parda) Kuszek; a son; four daughters; a sister; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be Thursday, April 20, 9:15 a.m., from the New Britain Memorial Funeral Home, 444 Farmington with a mass, 10 a.m., In St. John the Evangelist Church, New Britain.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours will be today, 6-9 p.m. CROWLEY. John Patrick Crowley, of West Hartford, beloved father of Mrs. Woodrow (Julia Mae) Welch, died Monday (April 17) at home.

Born in Boston, he was a resident of West Hartford, and a communicant of St. Brigid Church for over 40 years. After 39 years, he retired from United Technology and was a member of their Century Club. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. He was predeceased by his wife, Florence (Morris) Crowley, who died July 15, 1980.

Besides his daughter and son-in-law, Woodrow W. Welch, he leaves his grandsons and their wives, William Carukin and Mary Beth Welch of South Windsor, Raymond John Welch of Wilmington, N.C, Peter Morris Welch of West Hartford, and John Crowley and Colleen Welch of South Windsor. He also leaves his pride and joy, his great- grandson, John Crowley Welch who gave him 15 very happy months. Funeral procession will be Friday, 9:15 a.m., from the Sheehan-Hilborn-Breen Funeral Home, 1084 New Britain West Hartford, followed by a mass of Christian burial, 10 a.m., in St. Brigid Church, West Hartford.

Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford. Calling hours will be Thursday, 7-9 p.m. EHRENBERG-FAULKNER. Ronnie Ellen Ehrenberg-Faulkner, 36, of 792 West Hartford, died April 18 unexpectedly at UCONN Health Center. Born in Boston, she had been a resident of Hartford in recent years.

She was a psychotherapist practicing in Torrington and Hartford. She was active with the Litchfield County Hospice, the Hartford Kehilat Chaverim, Montessori School of Greater Hartford, and a newly formed area multi-racial support group. She graduated from the University of Bridgeport, and did her post-graduate work at Washington University, St. Louis, Mo. She will be remembered by her family, friends, and associates, as compassionate and caring in her personal and professional life.

She is survived by her husband, Fred C. Faulkner; her daughter, Rachel Leah; her mother, Shirlee Ehren-berg; and two brothers, Daniel Seth Ehrenberg, and Laurence Stephen Ehrenberg. Funeral service will be today, 2:30 p.m., al Cedar Hill Cemetery, 453 Fairfield Hartford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rachel Ehrenberg-Faulkner Education Fund, co Atty. Joan Libby, 2 Wiltshire Lane, West Hartford.

Arrangements are by the Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford. ELMORE. Dorothy B. Elmore, 85, widow of the late Lynwood K. Elmore, died April 17 at a local convalescent home.

Born in New York City, she was a lifelong resident of the Hartford area. She was a member of the Immanuel Congregational Church, Hartford. She is survived by a son, Martius Elmore and daughter-in-law, Eleanor R. Elmore of Manchester; and two grandchildren, Lynn and Todd Elmore. Memorial service will be Friday, April 21, 1 p.m., in the Immanuel Congregational Church Chapel, 10 Woodland Hartford.

Paul Giannette, 69, of 28 Cindy Drive, Ellington, died Tuesday (April 18) at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Marion (Litwin) Giannette. Born in Bloomfield, he had lived in East Hartford and Hebron, moving to Ellington in 1973. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had been employed by Pratt Whitney Aircraft and the Royal-Underwood Typewriter Co.

for 15 years, prior to his retirement. He was a communicant of St. Luke Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, David P. Giannette of Ellington; a daughter, Mrs.

George F. Carmody, of Hartford, husband of Josephine (Tenero) Carmody, died Tuesday (April 18) in St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. He was born in Weston, and had lived in Hartford most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Hartford Insurance Group.

Born in Maidstone, Kent, England, she had resided in East Hartford for the last 47 years. She was a member of the Silver Laners Bowling League, East Hartford.
